A crazy basketball, football, ice hockey, baseball and tennis fan. My favourite teams are the Adelaide Crows, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhwaks. I have a passion for sports and writing about it.

He did have 11 TO’s, but his usage rate was as high as always. Because he handles the ball on every possession, his average of around 4.5 TO’s isn’t too bad. 11 is a bit high though as you say. He still played a better game in my opinion though
The Warriors won the game, but Westbrook trumps Durant
Riley Day and Jack Hale: a couple of bright sparks moving forward for Australian athletics.
Riley Day is the best Australian sprint prospect since Raelene Boyle
From the perspective of a team with a likely top 5 pick, I wouldn’t take anything less than Butler. Rondo’s production is way down from the past few seasons, and the Bulls don’t really have any other young players to get that sort of deal done.
As much as that would be great for the Bulls, I think it is unrealistic.
The Chicago Bulls: When money out-ranks winning
Absolutely agree. No need to break up a winning team, unless Kyrgios does something to warrant being left out.
Would love to see Duckworth and Millman there as hitting partners if healthy. If not De Minaur and Whittington definitely deserve to be there
Thompson or Tomic: Who should play Davis Cup in April?
Agree that this could well be Fed’s biggest triumph. When all things are considered, the Aus Open in 2017 will go down as one of the greats!
The aura of Roger Federer
The problem is when money comes at the expense of winning, when the two should be able to go together.
Of course if a team is losing money that’d a problem, but the people who are put in charge of forming a roster owe it to the fans and the rest of the organization to put a plan in place that can compete for a title.
And I don’t see that in Chicago. The Knicks are another example, and there are many others, in all sports

Craig Tiley did say it wasn’t sped up to suit specific players, but that it was sped up. The courts were playing faster than Wimbledon center court, which helps the bigger servers and net rushers.
I agree that it’s great to watch when the courts are faster. It generally produces a more contrasting style between two players. That’s also why Federer is so amazing, his ability to adapt to slower courts over the year.
Agree that Rafa should be favourite for FO, although Wawrinka is a huge chance. Wouldn’t be too confident in Novak
What Australian Open success means for Nadal in 2017
Agree that he got lucky to a certain extent to beat Zverev and Dimitrov, but the level that they played was top notch, and would have beaten most players I believe.
Agree about his body, that is his number one concern. But watching him play in Melbourne was as healthy he has looked in a while to me. You are right though; his body is probably a 33 or 34 year old body in terms of wear and tear.
The hunger is there for him, as always. I see Stan as probably the only player that can beat him at the French Open,a court that is suited to his game in many ways.

With Moses, 45th in PPG, ranks outside the top-100 in some analytical stats, and didnt play great defense.
Russell, statistically he does not stack up to those higher than him.
Shaq, you have a good argument, although he had more than three good years, averaging 20+ points and 10+ rebounds in 13 different seasons. Also has the third highest efficiency rating of all time.

Kareem is also 14th on the list in points per game, ranks lower in 95% of analytical stats, and playoff points. His only case is his tremendous accolades, but MJ is not far behind him. Plus Jordan is one of the most historical sports figures of all time, so it is hard to go past him.

yeah the thought that Bird would struggle in todays league is ridiculous, just as the thought that Curry would struggle in the 90s. These guys are that good, they can win in any era

i didn’t submit that in the original. The Roar added that. I agree with you, it is worded poorly. Sorry for late reply, Ive been busy 🙂

Interested in the reasoning behind Bird and Lebron’s placing… also Duncan way too low for me, McHale and Barry way too high

Stockton in terms of advanced statistics is not in the mix. He also does not have a ring. But.. he is one of the all-time great point guards, with an assists and steals record which will probably never be broken.

Curry came in at number 30 for me. Sorry for late reply, been very busy. Looking at advanced stats too, LeBron is second to only MJ in most of them.

Yeah your right about Durants signing forcing Bogut’s departure. But also, Bogut was hardly ever healthy, and reports were that the Warriors were looking to ship him off elsewhere anyway.
And the acquisition of Zaza, West and now Phil pressey really keep the Warriors depth chart in order

That is a lot for a player of his calliber. That said, Mike Conley got a lot more!

Thanks Swampy, will look to post a few more articles in the next week or so, news has been running low for a few weeks now! I agree with you on Horford, he probably should be higher on the list. With DeRozan, if he has signed elsewhere that would end Toronto’s championship window, as it would Portland and Detroit if C.J and Andre had left. But you’re right, the deal puts Boston into immediate contention.

He is a tremendous player. And as a crows fan, few players at that age impact a game like Bontempelli does.
Marcus Bontempelli will be the best of his generation
Neale is also a lot more mature than Bontempelli, and had less of an impact on the game.
Marcus Bontempelli will be the best of his generation
He’s definitely the better player at the moment, but it sets a bad example to younger players in my opinion.
