Hey Adrian, I think you have the knowledge of power rankings wrong. I dont understand how footscray and west coast are above richmond and how their win only pushes them up 3 spots. I’d like to know the basis of how you decide power rankings as I am used to the NBA/NFL power rankings

When you say you want full-time umpires, what do they do on monday? review for 8 hours? tuesday? bounce the ball for 8 hours? wednesday/thursday? education of the game? Im not having a dig but just a genuine curiosity as to what a bunch of umpires on full-time contracts will do on a weekly basis.

I agree with Milo but at the same time Houli is great with his courage and intent on taking the game on. The one thing he really needs to work on is to stop butchering his high hospital kicks out of defence that leads to turnovers.

Excellent Article. I too was a big fan of Melbourne Tigers with the likes of Greer, Anstey etc and thought the rebranding was silly initially but have liked this season. However, sometimes it makes me cringe with the style of play that occurs with full-court presses from the first quarter. It just causes turnovers that evolve into very sloppy plays which makes it hard to watch at times.

The only issue with a road is whether Australia can bat time? that has always been an issue with the Australian side. I can only vision Smith using his wits to take his time and not have this sense of urgency as warner/wade/mitch has.

Well said. I sometimes wish that the local councils of each standalone club was able to give back and provide funding to the club just so they can stay afloat.
