Folau was marked tonight, but sill looked lethal.

I, too, am absolutely loving the North v Folau contest.

Abother thing to consider, MJ was more than a basketballer. He was a hero, a cult figure, a movie star, a man that revolutionised basketball.

Lebron may well be a better basketballer at the end of his career, incredible athlete, proven clutch performer and has time up his sleeve. But in terms of a sporting icon, I can’t see him ever passing MJ.

Ask anybody who Michael Jordan is today, basketball fan or not, they know who he is. That’s the legacy of a sporting icon.

The charisma and class is what makes sportsman more than a champion, it’s what makes them an icon.

That’s what separates Ali, Jordan and co from the rest.

Hambone, the articles point was mainly about heavyweight boxing, even though I did stray off from that.

Heavyweight champion used to be one of the top honours in sport now people don’t even know who holds the belt.
The heavyweight division obviously has the biggest guys and the biggest knockouts and therefore is normally the most popular division. If the heavyweight division is crippling then that is bad for boxing as a whole.

And yes, Mayweather is a true champion but have you thought maybe he is the exception. That Mayweather is one of only a couple that has significant pulling power. It is worrying to think off the boxing landscape once Mayweather hangs up the gloves.

Next time I’m backed up in a dark alley, I’m going to try a flying armbar hahaha.

Yeah mate, I think once mma breaks that stereotype of a bloodthirsty, mongrel sport, like most who know nothing about the aport think about it, it’s gonna grow exponentially. You have to appreciate the skill involved, these guys are incredible athletes.

Yep it’s gotten ridiculous with all this money. And I also watched that tyson doco in a reminiscint state.

I also find it interesting that this article was published today, when the Klitchsko fight was yesterday. I thought that the first sentence would have been edited, but the guy who looked at this article obviously didnt know when the fight was on, further reinforcing the point.

Yep. With the players on offer, Australia has the potential to play some great rugby.
Results aside, the style of rugby under Deans has been disappointing to say the least.

E.g. Why was the best scrumhalf in the world, Will Genia, constantly box kicking during the World Cup?

How long can Deans keep the undertaker at bay?
