I have never understood the argument of people saying he's "too small". He has over 200 first grade games! This isn't Space Jam where the Queenslanders have suddenly stolen secret stuff from the NBA's best and grown 10 times in size. They're the same players he plays against week in, week out. And anyone mentioning his defense (again, you mustn't watch Souths very often as he's a reliable tackler and great under the bomb) and then in the next breath suggesting Uate is some sort of step up in any way is joking, surely?! Uate is a great attacker but one of the worst defensive wingers in the league. Certainly far worse than Merritt.
