Very true Lachie. I as a Chelsea fan thought I was very optimistic when I was aiming for us to finish Top 4. I still struggle to believe the performances that Conte has managed to get out of “lower” players. The title race is definitely not over, anyone can drop points against resolute lower teams, however I am hopefully we can get over the line.
In regards to the Top 4, I cannot see Tottenham or Chelsea falling short, however, the Top 6 is very much back. The last few years have seen each top team fall away in various years, whereas this year they have all stood up throughout the year. I believe that Manchester United will be able to continue to build and get into the top 4. In my opinion, Liverpool and Manchester City will be fighting for the final spot.
I don’t think any manager is in danger though, Arsenal should drop Arsen, however I believe that their board must be happy to continue to fall short of the title as long as they finish close to the top. The other teams have big name managers who they will give time to.
