I was saying boo-urns

The idiot's guide to booing Adam Goodes

AR has hit the nail on the head. The issue is that the biff is endemic to Rugby League and is widely celebrated by fans and commentators, not condemned. This is the attitude that must change as it has in a sport like AFL where Vickery’s act was condemned by the entire community and he was handed a long ban as was Barry Hall, who was slapped with 7 weeks for his punch on Brent Staker.

The NRL must remove cowards

I agree Matt and Hardcore, I just focused the article on his Manchester United career to concentrate its focus I’m glad to see others like me do appreciate his Aberdeen exploits.

Fergie's Man Utd exit ends Scot's EPL domination

I believe Moyes will get it. He is cut from the same stone as Ferguson. Plus, I do not believe that Mourinho would come to the club with Ferguson staying on as Director (as the rumour mill goes)

Fergie's Man Utd exit ends Scot's EPL domination

That is completely misinformed. The fans are excited to see him play because he possesses freakish skills at time, as we have seen when he plays, and the fans want to see that. For example, his tap where he dwarfed Stefan Martin was the first time I’ve seen a whole stadium cheer a tap. The fact he is Sudanese is not why everyone is excited, it is the freakish skill set he brings to the game, a point that Brad expressed with no hint of racism. Also, AFL is a multi-cultural game, skin colour does not matter because the game accepts everyone and anyone because of skill, not colour. Don’t take us back to the ‘1920’s’ please Matthew.

JOHNNO: Majak’s debut makes a buzz, but wait for a full game first

My apologies English Twizz, it was meant to say their final series away from home

Ashes series preview

My pick would be Siddle. There is no bloke prouder to lead his country and he leads from the front all day with his bowling and bats his heart out, currently saving this test himself. Siddle would set the example and make the bowling changes, and Wade would set the fields, taking some of the pressure off whilst Siddle is having his spell.

Thankfully not Browny

You should doubt it Devils Advocate, I am all for DRS being removed from the game and having test cricket remain as traditional as it possibly can, no matter what Sachin may possibly (and unlikely) say in the future

Test cricket's DRS is BS

Title upgrades are Roar editor’s work, unfortunately they have changed it

Is Chris Judd ageing beyond stardom?

I am not writing him off. I specifically chucked in a lot of ‘if’s as I hope it is not the case. However, that does not change my main reason for writing this article and it was looking ahead to the future, where I cannot see him being able to hide anywhere on the field. Where does he go with a midfield coming through like that?

Is Chris Judd ageing beyond stardom?

Lonergan was announced out today with a broken hand, else I would have gladly put him in at Horsley’s expense on current form

Where does Karmichael Hunt fit?

I can’t comment on the other one. Here is what I would say is GC’s best 22 based on current injuries (and injuries are always going to be there)

B: McKenzie, Brennan, Harbrow
HB: Russell, Broughton, Allen
C: Prestia, Swallow, Murphy
HF: Stanley, Brown, Bennell
F: Matera, Dixon, Lynch
Foll: Ablett, Smith, Rischitelli
Int: O’ Meara, Horsley, Thompson, Hunt

Where does Karmichael Hunt fit?

That is because you have a vendetta against Karmichael Hunt as you have said so yourself so it is not worth going to the effort of listing 22 players only to have you then argue against it completely. I am looking forward to him continuing to improve again and lead a young GC midfield closer towards the finals, I hope you can enjoy watching the physicality and quality he brings to GC.

Where does Karmichael Hunt fit?

Not that contradictory. The way of modern football since the sub rule was brought in means that you almost need to pick your 21 best footballers, and then your best sub. I personally feel he is their best substitute for the latter half of a game. He will become a better footballer for it as he strives to make the starting 21 and in the meantime he will gain an inordinate amount of confidence in being able to dominate a game. Having said that, I also feel he could easily be in GC’s 21 as a tagger. However, the previous comment and this comment does not see GC likely to go with a tagger player just yet given they are blooding an attacking mindset in their midfield.

Where does Karmichael Hunt fit?

Hunt demands to be picked, and if you are curious about where he fits, he is in their best 22. Personally, if all of GC are fit – which I doubt will happen with these young bodies – then he will be donning the green vest. Why? Because he is an impact player. If he gets on in the third quarter or fourth quarter with some tired bodies at the contest then he is going to win a lot of ball, and hard ball when the game is on the line. This is particularly important for GC who fade out of games hard. If he can get in there and heavily impact on the contest then he will get plenty of handball distribution to those who have the elite foot skills to hit targets in the forward 50 90% of the time. Hunt may not be the best kick at the suns but his hard ball gets and handball use provides such an important avenue for the Suns attack. If you don’t agree about his ability to impact on the contest by coming on late in a game, look at the stats. He gathers almost all of his possessions in the first half, often being one of the leading possession winners on the ground into half time, a time where GC are almost always in the contest. He then often gets tagged out of the game in the second half and although he still causes a significant contest, that is why his numbers are not as impressive as others. Having said that, their numbers are more impressive because of the work that Hunt does influencing and affecting the contest. Imagine that first half output late in the game and you will see just how he deserves his spot in the side and will be unable to bag him anymore.
