Well written Spiro. Well balanced and said as it should be said.

When the will to play and win is lost and where the Coaches, Captain and team no longer have the will to win, you get the thugerugby that was coached and displayed by the team on Saturdays Bledisloe game.

The Wallabies are a better team than this. Nobody likes a trashing but trash is what this team is giving. The game is never won on the field but in the head before going on. The only reason one ever goes onto the field is to find out by how much. This said, Losers think the same in reverse.

As a Kiwi I hope that Aussie bounces back soon. There is a massive cleanout required and a total rebuild needed. This will take time but time heals all wounds.

ARU alert: Has Michael Cheika gone rogue?

Riccardo. Me too ! Plus Conrad, Richie, ‘Lamu and all those who gave us so much.
James. As the Sevens game is starting to come of age with players and show, – Teams will only get better – for the better! 🙂

Why the bench is as important as the run-on side

Hey Shop. The rake marks down my back at the time and having to suffer because the replacements had run out was not funny. The treatment for the modern player is by comparison, embarrassing!

Why the bench is as important as the run-on side

To be utterly pedantic and picky Harry, some come off chairs! It is the reference and word “Bench” that I am finding objectionable and the differential inference between players I am taking exception to. It is the overall Team who wins games, not individuals because they were on the field first. 🙂 for support.

I guess the one thing that Eddie is good at…Taking the heat and focus away from his players !
You Aussie mates… keep wide awake tonight.!!

Who cares what Eddie Jones thinks?

Those guys will get their turn in time if they be good enough Mace. Meantime, “GO READIE, blood, guts and thunder.” (Thank G-d I’m not a Welshman !

New All Blacks captain, same team outcomes

Well I guess it was a South Islander last time eh taylor 🙂

New All Blacks captain, same team outcomes

Me too Clarkey! Call me old fashioned (ah.. ex military) I would be asking them to stand closer to the razor in the mornings and have the beards off too ! Still some rope needed I guess…!

New All Blacks captain, same team outcomes

Sorry. Making a comment but in wrong reply ! (Like refs, I get things wrong as well!)

Time for rugby's refs to front up after matches

I will mention your point when contacting him next. 🙂

Time for rugby's refs to front up after matches

Yes, to you here Wally. Players make the mistakes and are corrected by the adjudicators, but commentators need to remove the frosted glass between them and the playing field.

Scrum, I like the way your argument shows balance and I feel that your points are very valid.

Lyndon is very approachable and will answer questions put to him. Never found him wanting when I have asked!

Time for rugby's refs to front up after matches

The question was put and many of the above have very valid and sound points of view. Asking questions that are not to be likened to an inquisition to get a better understanding cannot be all wrong,..surely? Rules are written but different interpretations are made and some events remain unexplained (Craig Joubert RWC 2015 running from the field as one example, until recently.)

Good points. I feel that they were nurtured in the early days. Lomu was immature but had size and talent and Batty had a point to prove with his size. Kirwan overcame depression. Was this from being too young and the spotlight of a nation being on them too early?

Can you be too young to be selected?

Not wishing to publicly name those players that come to mind Armand, I note that some players who are young can be successful, however, I also note that the pressures that have come on some very talented young players who have also fallen by the wayside due to the lack of leadership within the environment of a team, self confidence, alcohol, lack of disciple due to ego and obviously other indiscretions’ and faults. Whilst some also shine with flare in parts of their game they can also have horrendous lapses in other parts which leads on to lack of confidence because they were too young and immature to absorb the pressures an older player would likely have.

Can you be too young to be selected?

Some still do taylorman 🙂

Can you be too young to be selected?

Good valid points in here Johnno

Can you be too young to be selected?

Sorry…have not had the misfortune…:)

Do commentators talk too much?

I must try to catch him and have a listen. Thanks mate.

Do commentators talk too much?

Bill, on all the comments that have been on my subject here I am so pleased to find that I am not the only one who has found the irritations a real pain in the bum and hopefully will be addressed by the perpetrators. The great thing about The Roar and its followers is that it is read by many who are the cause from corporate to individual and if they don’t get the message from the fan then the dollar dries up. As I have said before, “What do you get when you cross a parakeet with a tiger?” Don’t know?
“Neither do I, but when it talks you sure in hell better listen!”

Do commentators talk too much?

Sadly the standards have dropped in favour of lay-back and this is reflected in much of the deliveries of both personal and media quality broadcasting. Its what we get when we accept cheap !

Do commentators talk too much?

True comment I feel Sprigs!

Do commentators talk too much?

Nope!

Do commentators talk too much?

SkyTV do give you the option of hearing only the Ref. A very good option when it gets the irritators on!!
Sadly Fox Sports don’t seem to have it for us in Z land.
