I don’t think any coach would except not being able to select his team, that’s crazy talk.

City went down fighting, but Joyce had to go

Perth, though I would love it if Adelaide somehow won.
Sydney, it should be a very close game and I wouldn’t be surprised if it went the other way tbh.

The Roar's A-League expert tips and predictions: Elimination Finals

Naboutt has been a big loss and Petratos hasn’t been up to standard, whether because of the loss of Naboutt and McGree (who is being stifled by Warren Joyce) who offered some quality around him is the reason, or it’s just an off season, who knows.

If anyone knows what happened to the Jets, can they please tell Ernie Merrick?

Strange that Cities style was completely different once Joyce was ill all week, Paddy Kisnorbo probably had more to do with it.

The Roar's A-League expert tips and predictions: Round 24

As Asian nations are getting better there is a greater argument of sending these players out on loan, they get a good life experience and get the playing time they need.
It seemed to do Naboutt a lot of good, without a second devision it’s the next best thing for a developing player IMHO.

Western United can empty the A-League's recycling bin

Is that the young lad who posted a couple of youtube vids about 5-6 years ago, I think that’s the one you are thinking of.
I can’t remember his name either.

Could a Socceroos squad full of youngsters win the World Cup?

Maybe we need a toxicity survey to evaluate things…….
But in honesty you know your stuff and there are a few other players you could include, but I think for length you didn’t.
These young lads have talent, how far they can go is up to them, but there are some real gems there.
I think a balanced mix is a must and astoundingly picking players on merit, if that player is 14 or 44 who cares, if they are the best we have it’s a no brainer.
I don’t like that certain players constantly get picked on past glories, or that they have been there and done that when they are behind the eight ball, international football is the best of the best and needs to be ruthless.

Sorry mate I replied to you quite poorly.
I do have female friends, colleagues and family, not once have I seen or heard of a lack of rights.
I do hope you will give me some details so I can understand your side of the story better, as I would be shocked to hear it.

Alen Stajcic: Victim of the modern workplace, or creator of a flawed culture?

Matildas coach sacked after quarter of players revealed they were afraid to ask for help
By Tracey Holmes

It is expected the full Our Watch report will be delivered to the FFA headquarters this week.

So the FFA don’t even have the details, only the foot notes, sounds quite questionable to me.

That’s why Gallop doesn’t say anything of worth, because not even himself knows why Stajcic has been sacked.

There are some damning accusations , but you can’t make an evidence based decision without evidence.

Look if Stajcic is in the wrong, then none of us has the right to complain.

It becomes an ethical problem that a person has lost their job, maybe their career without knowing the evidence. The FFA has handled this very poorly.

If you're ‘in the know’ and on Twitter, Stajcic’s sacking makes total sense

The things we know about the Alen Stajcic decision still do not explain why the decision to sack him was made

A very good article.

If you're ‘in the know’ and on Twitter, Stajcic’s sacking makes total sense

Would you constitute any of those to be unreasonable for a professional nation team?

How can we trust the FFA to do the right thing?

rather ambiguous

What, so you’re saying women don’t have the same rights as men in Australia?

Humanism is a democratic and ethical life stance that affirms that human beings have the right and responsibility to give meaning and shape to their own lives. Humanism stands for the building of a more humane society through an ethics based on human and other natural values in a spirit of reason and free inquiry through human capabilities. Humanism is not theistic, and it does not accept supernatural views of reality.”

Today Gallop admitted there had been no warnings given about his behaviour nor was he offered counselling, insisting the terms of the coach’s contract allowed them to act as they had.

How can we trust the FFA to do the right thing?

Also in Gallop’s recent presser he admitted they had to use a loophole in his contract.
If it was serious no loophole would have been needed to be used, they could use common workplace laws, or even more drastic action if needed.
Very suss.

How can we trust the FFA to do the right thing?

I have no clue who Miranda Devine is and if you mean the Daily Telegraph then no, I live in Melbourne for one and we don’t get it here, second is that I don’t read news papers.
I’d like to point out that I am humanist, I don’t discriminate by race, age, religion, sexuality or gender, I see us all as humans which science and DNA proves and we all deserve the same rights regardless of the aforementioned.

Alen Stajcic: Victim of the modern workplace, or creator of a flawed culture?

1/ The players went on strike, there was nothing ambiguous about it.
2/ There was not an extremist group involved in the process.
3/ She wasn’t defamed like Stajcic has been, the playing group just didn’t want her to be the coach, there were no accusations of anything that could harm her career.
4/ She had been in the job for a few months, not 4 years.
5/ She didn’t have the success rate that Stajcic has.
6/ not one player came out afterwards to show their dismay and support.

About 18 of them now and ex coaches, assistants, ex Matildas.
Alie carpenter is one of the youngest players and Legaso is openly gay, so it’s not age or experience and surely if there was homophobia issues Legaso wouldn’t be supporting him.

Alen Stajcic: Victim of the modern workplace, or creator of a flawed culture?

What role has Our Watch played in this, they obviously have an agenda and investigated different things.
The Professional Footballers Association was concerned by a spike in playing commitments, moving from part-time players to a non-stop calendar of W-League, overseas club and international football, and increasing commercial duties. Following a slump in the Matildas’ on-field performances from 2017 to 2018, the FFA was only too happy to begin the review.

a damning report undertaken by Our Watch, an organisation tackling abuse and violence of women, alleged incidents that bordered on harassment. It is understood it flagged cases of bullying, intimidation, retribution and even body shaming towards some younger players and even suggestions of flippant homophobic insults regularly made by unspecified staff members.

12 players have come out now in support of the coach, would they have if such things had been going on?

Alen Stajcic: Victim of the modern workplace, or creator of a flawed culture?

They have been set up for a couple of months now

Alen Stajcic: Victim of the modern workplace, or creator of a flawed culture?

Good article mate, from the outside looking in it looks like SJW’s destroying another thing they have gotten their hands on again.
Who is Our Watch?
Why are there about 8 players expressing shock and sadness about the sackings, weren’t they involved in the secret surveys?
Why weren’t the Australians Woman’s Council involved, they being the new shiny piece of the FFA board and all?
Why has Phil Moss head of the Coaches Union stated ‘that the reasons are murky, ambiguous at best’?
Was Stajcic given any way of recourse?
It’s all very strange and even stranger when under the cone of silence.

Alen Stajcic: Victim of the modern workplace, or creator of a flawed culture?

Haha, I don’t even know what I am agreeing with now, but I stand by it 😛
