Looking at UEFA coefficients…The SPL is below a ‘sub-standard’ league. He is struggling to start in that team Hibs team who is well behind Celtic.
Is Jamie Maclaren really ‘in form’?
No, don’t really support an A-League team.
Personally i think they didn’t play that well last year. Each to their own.
This year no need to even speak about their football.
It's time for John Aloisi to go
Not to mention the style of football Brisbane has played over the last two seasons and recruitment they’ve made.
I don’t give him all the credit for his first season as he had inherited that squad.

Kris – 41 wins, 27 draws and 53 losses in 121 games…If that is elite to you then we have vastly differing standards on what an elite coach is.

No i disagree. Yes financially it makes it easier when you have money to sack as you wish but this is specifically results driven. AC Milan was just an example, it happens everywhere in the world (except Australia), you don’t get results, you go.

Your comment about relegation and the parachute system the FA have in place is spot on. But because we don’t have a relegation system (even though we should), does that mean poor coaching and results should be swept under the rug?
This results in another negative financial aspect though, not as large as relegation, but dwindling crowd figures.
Wouldn’t it be better giving a young coach who would be cheaper and keen to impress the opportunity? This is just a suggestion to your comment.
Coaching changes usually ‘bring the bounce’ Stevo is talking about.
Also, when teams aren’t getting the rub of the green, players usually come out in support of their manager/coach…i don’t think this is the case at the Roar.

Yes, you have a point although there a some ridiculous statistics that say if you lose your first game, chances are slim of progression.
Who are the Socceroos' rivals ahead of the World Cup?
Pretty close! There isn’t really a ‘group of death’ this time around….closest is Group B.
Who will be drawn in the 2018 World Cup group of death?
I’d personally be prepared to say the the SPL is below the Championship and that they’d be in a real battle with Burton, Birmingham, Bolton and so on to not get relegated. Celtic is the obvious exception, which their league performances show.
Even Celtic would be on the margins of the Top 6 in the Championship.Aston Villa of Jedinak is more or less a Premier League team and Wolves were a mid-table PL side this season too. You cannot compare the second tier of English football with the SPL.
The teams European performances speak for themselves in actual fact so there is no point in mentioning anymore words on the subject.
You speak about the Egyptian national team? Their league is the strongest African competition and i’d be prepared to say their football teams are also stronger than the SPL.
Danish teams performed admirably in European competitions, thus their high coefficient ranking.
If you watch Scottish football, you’ll be aware the difference between Celtic and ‘the rest’.
