I’ve heard rumours that CFS doesn’t get along with Graham to well as well, although that is just a rumour but i don’t find it to hard to believe. He is looking quite large, if he slims down i would love to see him running around for the wallabies.

I would love to see Dempsey have a crack, his a young gun who i believe has an incredible amount of talent. I think that this season will be the year of the up and rising guns such as Dempsey and Wilkin.

Sorry for the few mistakes here and there, Israel is the best convert* and Robinson* not Robertson, my mistake!
Excitement at each club ahead of 2016
He did his knee and returned to QLD Prem Grade Rugby about half way through this year. Also featured for the Queensland Country team in the NRC this year.
Sunwolves reveal inaugural Super Rugby squad
Would have loved to see Amanaki Mafi, the big bad number 8 for Japan who wreaked havoc in the RWC in the squad. Disappointed, i thought he would have been targeted as a vital player to be apart of the SR team
Sunwolves reveal inaugural Super Rugby squad
No more player deserving of this award than Poey, i thought he was quite unlucky to not get World Player of the Year. Dan Carter had a great year, but Pocock had an amazing year
Pocock named RUPA player of the year
Sam Cane the next best?!?! Ardie Savea is by far the next best, i believe he was one of the unluckiest players not to be selected this year.
The end of an era for the All Blacks
Am i the only one who thinks Horwill not being there is a good thing? Go back to the bledisloe game last week, watch how many tackles he misses and the try were he doesn’t even make an attempt to chase Ma’a Nonu who just cruises around Horwill. He played solid in the RC, not amazing, no way was he the standout lock. Dean Mumm has been Australia’s best lock so far. Horwill is a thing of the past and him not getting pick shows it. Cheika knows Douglas, he coached him for 2 years and obviously knows what he is capable of, for christ sake he was one of the waratahs most consistent players in 2014 when they took out the crown.
Wallabies World Cup squad announced: Horwill misses out
McMahon has a blinder debut, but then slacked off and personally i am not a fan of McCalman
A coach's dream: A selection headache
I agree he would make a better impact in the last 30, he never delivers at international level like he does in super rugby.
A coach's dream: A selection headache
Horwill is gone, his form has been below average for the last 2 years, nothing like he was when he was captain at the 2011 RWC. Skelton has to be in the team, we need his size, hence the reason Cheika has been playing the monster 65+ minutes every game. I would say Rob Simmons for the other lock spot but he gives away so many damn penalties it does my head in. Coleman or Arnold, not to sure which one though.
A coach's dream: A selection headache
According to the super rugby app, Pocock is weighing in at 115kg
A coach's dream: A selection headache
I would love to see Folau back on the wing but defend at full back, put JOC or KB at fullback in attack and get Folau in to those one on one situations on the wing that allowed to him to amaze everyone in his debut season
My Wallabies XV to win the World Cup
Not a bad bench team, i like the choice of using Charles, i really think that he is under-rated
My Wallabies XV to win the World Cup
Bench would most likely involve impact players like Scott Higginbotham, Ita Vaea, Speight ect ect Bench players can make or break the team. You need those 8 players who know that when the time comes and they are subbed on, they are gonna lay down everything they can to win Aus that game.
My Wallabies XV to win the World Cup
Kerevi can’t tackle. If a team does their research (and at test match rugby level, they sure as hell do their research), they will exploit that. If you were to play Cooper, another player who can’t tackle (hence why the reds slot him in the 5 meter chanel on the wing come lineout time) then NZ and SA and any other international team will run straight hard rugby at our backline that has 2 players who can’t tackle.
Palu of the bench in the last 20 is actually not a bad idea as Higgas does bring an aggression to the game that is hard to match. Although, i would put Ita Vaea at number 8 and Higgas at blindside. I did mention that maybe Stirzaker deserves some game time during the Rugby Championships.
My Wallabies XV to win the World Cup
But if you read the first sentence of my article, i mention that i was not choosing a bench in this article. I didn’t mention Carter in my team but i do agree there. Carter’s form has dropped immensely. Fardy to me, is still the work horse he started off as.
My Wallabies XV to win the World Cup
The western force lock? Steve Mafi? Adam Coleman? Sam Wykes? They have all been playing quiet well.
My Wallabies XV to win the World Cup
But you have to remember that Cruden can’t play at the world cup after he ruptured his ACL, which means Beauden Barrett is next in line for the flyhalf role at the AB’s, Barrett is still in deadly form though and is better than any of the Australian flyhalfs.
Select for size must be the Wallabies' World Cup scrum mantra
Great article to read, had me at the edge of my seat reading it with a smile on my face. I believe that Larkham and Cheika coaching together, is a match made in heaven. Hopefully they gel well and we get the results that we have been so desperate for in the past decade.
Larkham gives Wallabies a World Cup-winning angle
My mistake, i meant to put Coleman on the bench
With Kuridrani out, who will step in at the Brumbies?
What do you think about putting Mogg fullback if is fit, Tomane or Speight to outside and then Dargaville to wing to replace Tomane or Speight, and just put Coleman on the wing. I’m not a huge Coleman fan, his attack is quite average and he is weak in defence.
With Kuridrani out, who will step in at the Brumbies?
I’d rather see Loteti Timani get a run ahead of Luke Jones
What would the Wallabies squad look like if picked today?
I love this team, but is Luke Jones worth the gamble? He has only had two test matches and in my opinion, played quite average in both of them. I think he will get some more caps to his name in future years but not a gamble i want to take to the world cup. And finally someone agrees that Matt Toomua should play flyhalf not inside centre! He has so much more to offer when playing flyhalf, hopefully Lealifano can back to the form where he was kicking goals from anywhere on the field.
What would the Wallabies squad look like if picked today?
Laloifi is someone i am dying to see have a run around for the reds this year. I completely agree with what you said, i don’t think he will be able to start every week, but will definitely see enough game time to show us what he is made of.
As for Kuridrani, i’m not a fan. It seems that for every good thing he does, he does a bad game. WIth such explosiveness to break the tackle and get over the advantage line, i’d like to see Kuridrani focus on being more consistent week in week out this year.
