Just because I write about NRL does not make me the Tzar on the sport...this is just what I love.

I kind of get what your saying. Although if you think merging of these two clubs (who have the best rivalry in our comp) is a way to push attendance up then your seriously mistaken. If that game is played on Friday night or even Sunday arvo then you get 20-30k easy!

To further dismiss your point check out this fun stat…of the 9 Monday night games played so far – it was Souths v Roosters that has had the best attendance with 18,278. The closest to that was 16k last week when Penrith played Newcastle.

Yet in this whole article I don’t see you mentioning the lack of Sharks support that attended the match on Monday night..trust me I was there. Where is your article calling for the Sharks to merge with the Dragons?

I marched, I went to Mondays game, I’d cry blue murder if you took my team out…I love my team. Although my Dad marched and he didn’t go to the game…does that mean he doesn’t love South Sydney?

Your article speaks about a band-aid solution to a huge gaping wound on the NRL which is how do we get attendance up? Saying things like Roosters or Souths fan don’t ‘love’ their team is a generalisation and easy to dismiss IMO.

Souths and Roosters fans letting the NRL down

@peeeko…best reply ever!!

Souths and Roosters fans letting the NRL down

It seems a bit strange to say that Rick Stuart is ‘undermining players confidence’ when he hasn’t actually selected the side yet. As far as I know he hasn’t actually done anything.

NSW Blues yet to find recipe for Origin success

Spot on really. Those blokes don’t step in then Souths get kicked out…again!

Russell Crowe's Rabbitohs promise is still unmet

What is “Pysco-alaysising”?

Been a Souths fan for 20 years…just want my team to win. Got nothing to do with getting kicked out.

As far as Souths being the worst NSW team in the last 10 years…how bout:
– 2005 finished higher than Newcastle
– 2007 top 8
– 2008 higher than the Bulldogs
– 2009 higher than Penrith, Cronulla and Roosters,
– 2010 higher than Parramatta, Cronulla, Bulldogs and Newcastle
– 2011 higher than Roosters, Penrith, Cronulla and Parramatta

So lets not throw stones here buddy…and leave the ‘Pysco-alaysising’ to the experts.

The ongoing torture of South Sydney fans

I dont really know how I feel about this. If we do invest in this then we are saying that 5 people (referee, pocket ref, touchies and video ref) aren’t doing a good enough job.

Would you honestly be happy knowing that captains and coaches can second guess a decision? I wouldnt…I would rather go to a game where if the referee makes a decision and its final. If that referee made a decision he thought was correct at the time then sure people can complain (which some coaches did on the weekend) but thats the way the ball bounces really. You move on and try to do it better next week. Lets give the referees a reason to grow a backbone and not shy away from tough decisions.

The challenges of the NRL challenge system

Totally agree! We need defensive machines in origin squads!

First round not an indicator of upcoming season

I love that term ‘showcasing’…should have used that!

Considering Manly won the comp last year they’ve had a tough slog…travel to england, lose a week of training and then fly to NZ for Round 1. Not really surprised they won in the dying mintues. Plus they’ve gotta take on the Tigers this week. Rough start to the season for the Sea Eagles.

First round not an indicator of upcoming season

Haha well I dont know if it helps but I’m a Bunnies supporter and I wrote this article. I honestly cant say for sure that the Rabbits are a Top 8 side. I think they may fall short this year…unfortunately.
