Good to see a game that wouldn’t draw many in Sydney be moved to an area that will draw solid crowd along with curious on lookers. AFL have been visiting up there for a number of years now. Why does it take Rugby League so long long to tap in to fringe areas such as Darwin.
Rugby league finally returning to Darwin
Good article. Unfortunately our sports governing bodies are to blame as they are greedy and take a massive percentage of any clubs merchandise sales whereas in Europe only the club reaps the benefits. I’m sure the FA would love a slice of Manchester Uniteds merchandise sales.
Supporters and sponsors swindled by jersey prices
The Roast has lost its best ingredient in Andre Voss. Without him the Show is very ordinary and the new format is not helping. It is a bit of deja vu for Channel 9 as the Thursday night Footy Show has not been the same without Matty Johns.
Maybe it’s time for some of the Rugby League department Producers to move along.
And as for Ray Hadley calling on Friday night, I actually think he is better than Ray Warren. It’s such a relief to hear someone call play by play then talk rubbish with Phil Gould.
Loss of Voss part of poor Channel Nine footy programming
Rep payments should have nothing to do with the clubs salary cap. Another stuff up by the two parties that use to run the game. That is like your 1st employer paying part of your wage for a second casual job you work after hours.
Origin bonuses should be outside the cap
