Hi John – may the best team win on Friday! As a diehard Rabbitohs fan I’ll of course tip them. Having said that, either us or Roosters will play Parra in week 1 of SF, and beat them. Storm will win Thursday – they can’t give up 4th spot and might even end up 3rd if Cowboys lose against reserve grade Penrith.

NRL's greatest rivalry: Roosters vs Rabbitohs and the fullback battle for the ages

I think what’s really going to happen is that Bellyache won’t want to forfeit the Storm’s 4th position with the obvious benefit of a second bite at the cherry and will demand a win against Parra. That could mean either the Rabbitohs (unashamedly my team) or the Roosters leapfrogging Parra and the bottom 4 playoffs will look very different. My tip – Rabbitohs to win Friday and play Raiders in week 1 of the SF and Eels to get beat by Storm this Thursday and then the Roosters in semis, out in straight sets. I don’t expect the top 4 to change after this week. Just my thoughts.

Round 25 Team Lists Late Mail: Broncos duo, Johnson, Suaalii, Parker out, Cleary defends resting ploy

My 2-cents:

Cowboys to upset the Sharks at home.
Can’t tip the Warriors, Dragons to handle the travel and beat them in a tight one.
Broncos to pile on the points against the Tigers. Moses leaving not enough to steady the ship.
Titans in a close one against Manly.
Raiders to put in a solid win to salvage their season.
Knights for an upset over the Panthers.
Bulldogs vs Roosters – geez, as a Rabbitohs fan I’d like to see a draw there! Dogs by a point in a bitter encounter.
Rabbitohs to upset the Storm if they play 80 mins (or more) and contain Slater and Co and are ahead at 1/2 time, and if the moon is facing the right way and all the stars align to shine in Cam Smith’s eyes. Lol.

Sorry I don’t ever tip against my own team.
