Five fearless predictions for the 2017 NRL season
Cherrington has plenty of talent and is still young. He was injured for a large chunk of last season and should flourish given game time. As is with everyone on the list they could go either way. Only time will tell.
Your club's transfer performance rating: Part 1
Does it count as another dream if he plays in the Nines?
Hayne announces availability for Auckland Nines
Roosters from 15th to 1st, adventurous comes to mind!
Storm top, Knights bottom: My 2017 ladder prediction
They may have lost Hummels and Mkhitaryan but Dortmund look stronger than ever. I look forward to seeing them progress far into this competition.
Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid: UCL live scores
Turbo is an interesting choice, with wingers like Rapana and Mansour stealing the show this year. Never the less it is a choice that I can’t write off as he did have a great year for Manly. Kudos to you sir!
Who will win the 2016 Dally M? What The Roar's NRL MVP says will happen
Ah but isn’t that the beauty of early predictions. I can only be proved wrong much later!
Storm top, Knights bottom: My 2017 ladder prediction
Melbourne have still got legs in their ‘dynasty’ and with youngsters like Munster, Vunivalu and Addo-Carr all maturing as players, the Storm are set to have yet another successful season. All they need next year is a Slater injury and it eliminates Bellamy’s headache!
As for Newcastle they may have some improvement next season, with a lot of their debutants from 2016 gaining needed experience. But it’s still a tough ask for a team with so much youth to improve much at all, especially with Jeremy Smith retiring, they have lost a forward leader.
There you are sir, I apologise if you were not satisfied with my article and will hope to improve in the future. Your input is much appreciated
Storm top, Knights bottom: My 2017 ladder prediction
For I do not wished to be abused on every post haha, but it seems the brave approach has not worked in my favour
Storm top, Knights bottom: My 2017 ladder prediction
Imagine a team made up of JT’s, including James Tedesco, Jake Trbojevic and such.
The Cowboys are blessed with three JTs
Of course Wayne Bennett! I knew there was something pivotal that I left out. Thanks for the comment
England will win the Rugby League World Cup in 2017
Add a spoonful of Cheyse Blair’s ridiculous long sleeves and we really do have a super human!
Building the ultimate all-round footballer
Yes I very much agree with you, I wanted to fit James Graham in there somewhere but I guess I wasn’t thinking about the mental aspects of the game. Cheers for the comment 🙂
Building the ultimate all-round footballer
Junior Paulo is an interesting selection. I think someone like Aaron Woods or James Graham would better fit the bill, but it’s good to see something different. Most of my choices were in the notable mentions, Matt Gillett and Josh Mansour to name a couple, but I like the team as a whole
Preston's NRL team of the year
Yeah for sure, guys like Smith and Thurston are worth every cent to their clubs, and as a tigers fan, i wouldn’t complain if Tedesco was re-signed for big money
Is any player really worth one million dollars?
Ah yes, how could i have forgotten him! He’s been great this season and has been consistent for a long time. Thanks for the contribution
Choosing the NRL's most underrated team
Still waiting for an 80 minute performance. Could beat any team when on song but consistency is a real issue
Tigers roar back to life at AAMI
Yes Jackson was very solid and probably overall had the better game, but as you said Frizell had the big moments and it made him stand out. These two should be the NSW back row for a few years to come
Frizell makes a Blue out of himself
SOO needs stand alone weekends. The NRL’s biggest concern these last few years has been player welfare, yet they throw a game with the physical demands of origin, only a few days before the next round. Key players are missing up to 5 games during origin due to being ineligible or being rested the next round. It’s also not a good look when the Broncos QLD cup side runs out to a half filled Suncorp the Friday night before Origin. I somewhat agree with taking games to the country, but i fear if we keep taking the game away from home then the supporters that live nearer the stadiums will ‘give up’
Origin winning the code war but at what cost?
Keeping in mind I won’t be sending this to Todd Greenberg and it’s an article written to hear people’s thoughts, I think you’ll find what i’m smoking is fairly boring, and not worth the price of petrol to come smoke it
Rugby league can learn from the English Premier League
He’s going to create a lot more space for guys like Cartwright to work some magic.
Tamou has the chance to be a leader among Mountain Men
Yes, the same problems happen at the Tigers, Brooks and Moses can really fire when given good ball but Farah seems to lose the plays a bit
What the Blues need to do differently to win Origin 2
Im afraid it could get very ugly for Manly on Sunday afternoon, the Warriors are hitting their straps, they just need to find the consistency and they’re easily a top 8 side. I also give the Dragons a good chance this week against an under strength Melbourne, they showed they take their opportunities when they beat North Queensland before Origin, so i think they can do it again.
Preston’s previews: NRL Round 15
Finished 15th in 2015 and last time I checked there were 16 teams in the competition
The NRL deserves better than the Wests Tigers
