I actually watch quite a lot of footy but watching the “Dross” boring Storm play just puts me to sleep, hence wherever possible I don’t watch them..
That is all..

The flavour of the week has been the Storm and Roosters, but that can all change this weekend.
I personally think lets wait and see how the next month of the regular season pans out before we can really make a call, but there are some mouth watering clashes coming up Roosters v Dragons, Broncos v Sharks Rabbitohs v Storm, Rabbitohs v Roosters plus more….
I am sure at some point the experts will be spruiking some of the above games could be a possible Grand Final entree..
I cannot wait for finals footy in September and it would be wonderful for the game if it was a Rabbitohs v Dragons Grand Final at ANZ Stadium.

The 2018 NRL premiership is headed to...
I know we are only in April, but as Paul Kent mentioned these three “Morons” that made the decision to ban one of the games elite players was and is an absolute disgrace!!
How can you possibly say this is even a charge let alone a suspension when it happens in every single National Rugby League game?
The game is going backwards when ridiculous decisions like this are allowed to be made and stick, how can those 3 “Morons” have any creditability and be allowed to make further catastrophic decisions in 2018, who do they report to?
The Sam Burgess suspension is wrong
This is extremely disappointing.
It beggars belief that we lose another young talent..
We resign the Burgess twins only because of their close association with Crowe yet we don’t lock up Angus?
The Twins are on 650k each per year and if they are worth that money then I am a bad judge!
The handling of our salary cap is totally inept and mismanaged surely someone needs to take the heat..
I have grave fears for the future of this great club when you have Richo so closely linked with the Crowe and the Burgess clan…
Until things change in the front office and they treat this as a business and not all about friendship, the club will continue with mediocrity..

Like most NRL players the more they earn the more FREE things they expect, its rare for an NRL player to put his hand in his pocket..
As a human that doesnt play professional sport I am mindful of the people I befriend and keep company with.
Its all well and good to get FREE drinks, private areas within nightclubs, pretty ladies etc, but we all know nothing is FREE in life these shady characters will expect something in return down the track, that’s a no brainer.
NRL players & Nightclubs just do not go hand in hand, nothing good comes out of regular visits to a nightclub.
As some individuals have found out in recent times, social media is everywhere these days and as sports stars you unfortunately are being watched by Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and that elusive Mobile Phone camera..

Luke Keary is best off the bench, he was a decent player in 2014 but the last couple of seasons he has gone missing.
He clearly showed against Parramatta last week how bad he is when he needs to steer a team around the park granted the forwards were average but I dont see the Rabbitohs losing much at all as Cody is more dynamic and creates chances..
So since their 2014 GF win the Rabbitohs have lost, Ben Teo, Lote Tuqiri, Apasai Koroisau, Nathan Merritt, Beau Champion, Joel Reddy, Glen Stewart, Issac Luke, Tim Grant ,Chris McQueen, Dylan Walker, Chris Grevsmuhl and Luke Keary..
That is 13 players lots of experience talent there and in that time picked up the likes of Nathan Brown, Paul Carter, Michael Oldfield, Dane Nielsen..
Not bagging the gains we have had in the last two years but it clearly tells a story why the Rabbitohs are currently 13th on the NRL table in 2016, unfortunately I cant see them winning many if any games as we run now towards the back end of the season.
Bring on the recruitment team for a better squad in 2017, without the cattle the coach cannot work miracles.

Keary to sign with Roosters: report
I tend to agree WB, there are too many “Ifs & buts’
We are picking the best of the worse halves combinations I am still shaking my head how last years halves got us through..
That said we have some good young (big) forwards that will do the job to replace the experience brigade like Klemmer & Frizell who will add some mongrel.
But for mine you cant beat the experience and although it is an ageing team the QLD side should win 3-0 in the 2015 State of Origin Series..

I personally think this game is a waste of time and effort on a packed pre season schedule.
There is nothing to play for numerous players have been pulling out right left and centre. Ticket sales being down all shows that it is a nothing game.
The Auckland nines concept was a wonderful success let’s focus on that being the centrepiece of the pre season then let the teams enjoy and plan their 2 or 3 trial games before the season commences.
It’s an extremely long year for the players hence my view is to scrap this concept and have one less game for the players.
NRL All Stars game: well worth the price of admission
Look it’s plain and simple that the NRL again has caved in due to media pressure, it was originally reported that everything was kosher with the integrity unit now that the Aussie press has got hold of it vision being shown on TV of their arrests it’s now a media circus!
In my view the NRL trying to look good to the media and re open things just to shut the media up.
Time will tell if anything actually happens, personally I don’t think so.

Time to retire Kel O’Rourke and give some up and coming race callers a chance.
