The football public knows, and has known now for a long time, that James Hird cannot continue as coach of the Essendon. Yet on…
Dear Phil Rothfield, I have a question to ask you: Do you or do you not like rugby league? It's a simple question. Yes…
Out of fear of being labelled small minded, I preface what I'm about to say with both Parramatta and Ricky Stuart will receive criticism…
A couple of nights ago, Lance ‘Buddy' Franklin's 13 goal haul against North Melbourne in 2012 was replayed on Fox Footy. It was breathtaking…
Have to feel for the bloke. Took him years to land the job and it gets taken away from him in pretty unfair circumstances. Hope there’s a better opportunity out there for him.
Brendan McCartney steps down as Western Bulldogs coach
Also, imagine being told at the start that it was all legit only to be subject to an ASADA investigation a few months later. The handling of this situation really has been a mess.
James Hird must go and everyone knows it
I didn’t say Cronulla was entirely cooperative, at the beginning they weren’t, but they have proven more cooperative than Essendon and that is why they are in a better position now than Essendon.
James Hird must go and everyone knows it
The question is obviously more tongue-in-cheek than anything. I’m sure he does like Rugby League. The point being that Phil Rothfield, the chief Rugby League writer at the best-selling Newspaper in Sydney, seems unable to write anything positive about the game. It is often sensationalist none-sense, designed to elicit a response. That is not fair or objective journalism. There’s no doubt that the RLWC has a long way to go. However Phil, isn’t concerned with a long-term view, he’s only concerned with the headline. His AFL equivalent is Mark Robinson. Robinson is more than happy to criticise the AFL but you can’t doubt his passion for the game. The same goes for Phil Gould. Always willing to criticse the NRL, however there’s no doubt about his passion for the game. With Rothfield its relentless negativity.
Phil Rothfield, I have a question for you
He’s more than entitled to criticise it. The reasons he gives though are the problem. There’s a lot of misinformation and no balance in his articles. If he’s going to make the sort of points as he does about the World Cup, he should be able to back them up with facts.
Phil Rothfield, I have a question for you
Fantastic article! I had no idea there was a sponsored competition being played in Lebanon and sponsored by the Bank of Beirut as well. That’s just great.
Lebanese rugby league continues to grow
Along with St George, Souths and Canterbury, Parramatta has one of the biggest support bases in Sydney. It would be delusional to suggest otherwise.
The Parramatta problems continue
To be fair, they’re probably just appealing to their target audience.
AFL commentary worthy of the moment
Couldn’t agree more. He came across as confident and driven yesterday. Lets hope he can win the ‘premiership’ as he continually iterated yesterday. As for Tood Greenberg, gee he looks relaxed in front of a camera. Most importantly his ascension to the headquarters is a step in the right direction. Good day for Rugby League yesterday.
Mr Smith shows he's no generic CEO
Maggie please stop using facts. It hurts those unwilling to acknowledge the successful way the Swans have run their club over the past 20 years.
The Swans played by COLA rules, so why are they being punished?
