Thanks M1tch. I agree too, I think he can last a very long time in footy as long as he tries to stay injury free from now on!
He’s probably not as beaten and used as much as his fellow 30-year-old players due to his time out

An ode to Mini - Anthony Minichiello

With Brian Smith turning up at the Dragons game on Sunday (only one day after his win over Parra) I think there is a lot of determination in this Roosters camp to win it. In my opinion they are probably the best team in the competition at the moment and most deserving of the wins they are getting. Loved Bennett trying to keep a straight face when a journo told him that Smith had been there taking notes on the Dragons….

Roosters emerge as cap-breach specialists

I don’t think Yow Yeh is necessarily being overlooked. I just think that Folau is more of an individual player – amazing nonetheless – but individual, whereas Hodges is more of a team player.

Why Yow Yeh needs Justin Hodges

ha embarrassing.

Pete – firstly I am not a PR type. I’m an unpaid intern and a uni student. So I have no alias really. I need my name on both Roar articles and Broncos articles for my portfolio. But yes, not a PR type, I only write match reports. I won’t lie though I am a huge Broncos fan and very lucky to have been given the opportunity I got with their website.

Nice to be recognised though I guess…. thanks

$3.17 million over is hardly a Storm in a teacup

Yet Roosters were eventually caught for salary cap rorting. Funny that.

As odd as it is I never looked at the Storm team and though wow they must be over the salary cap. Salary cap is not something I think about a lot. Sure it all makes sense now. But my problem is, why is everyone out to get the Broncos?

Ever since the scandal broke all I’ve heard is Broncos were over for ’92, ’93, 2000 and now 2006. Didn’t know all you people knew what the Broncos players get paid….

And while ’92/’93 may be true, they are innocent until proven guilty. Thats the way I always viewed the Storm. Would appreciate the same respect

Thank you…

Broncos 2006 team? You mean with the halfback next to no one had heard of?

The team at the time complied a few nobodies and a few superstars. Those nobodies are superstars now, sure.
But to compare the two 2006 teams is a bit ridiculous.

Storm had the more dominant player in most key positions apart from five-eight, props and lock. Broncos then went on to lose everyone due to not enough money… From that team Broncos now have four. Storm still have seven.

Petero is doing a Business degree… but I think even that’s a while away.
Go the woman 🙂

Who should be the next Broncos CEO?

I very much like this idea. I am a huge Lockyer fan and also agree that it would look better on the Milton Rd side.

However in saying that, a while ago a paper suggested that there be four more statues around Wally – Lockyer, Langer, Mal etc.

A shrine to QLD almost

Maroons need to erect a statue to King Darren

I still think Josh Morris would be better in the centres playing inside his brother. It’s an unbeatable combo and as a QLD supporter one that I am personally scared of.

Sterlo is great at being impartial. Plus I think they already weeded out most of the biased ones from the Footy Show and such. Chief and Matty used to be disgustingly biased. I refused to watch the post Origin Footy Shows when they were on because no matter how amazing QLD would play, all they would talk about is NSW

Realistically all you have to do is look at Penrith and see how much they’ve improved this year. Wonder if Kingston has had some kind of an impact?

And while I know a lot of people disagree with me, I am also in favour of a salary cap. You are right the comp is always so close and as it turns out the one team that can often escape everyone else were cheating.

The curse of the one-man NRL team

Haha indeed it is! So disappointed that my dreams of the Nadal Federer final are gone now. But Rory may be right…

Do or die for Federer and Nadal

As I said in the article, they are fighting for a lot more than just a win or lose.

Do or die for Federer and Nadal

Wow I did not realise this. So you are saying that you believe Djokovic will win cuz of this?

Do or die for Federer and Nadal

Ta something I can work on then

Do or die for Federer and Nadal

I am mainly referring to the way he is spoken about by fans and critics, as if he is the Bulldogs’ only hope. If you noticed I actually spoke about how Moore is protecting him….

I just think that if people are not careful and continue to put that kind of public pressure on him that a repeat of the Hayne situation will occur. You personally may not feel this is the case which is fair enough, but speaking from personal encounters with Bulldogs fans and their debate page they do view him as somewhat of a saviour

The curse of the one-man NRL team

Haha good to find other Broncos fans on here. And don’t worry Corey I’m sure real fans will never get sick of it no matter how frustrating it can be.

The curse of the one-man NRL team

Yeah I also though it was more of Falla choking than Federer improving but a lot of people would shoot me down when I suggested. Good to find others who agree with me.

Do or die for Federer and Nadal

Why do you think Federer ended up winning? Do you think Falla choked or it was Federer who managed to take control and get himself back in the game?

I’ve heard both suggestions a lot but I wonder what other people think?

Do or die for Federer and Nadal

I agree with the close calls. Federer’s first round was shocking but at least he did pull through eventually.
And I also have to agree that Federer may be the winner, although I am a Nadal fan (hoping that didn’t come through in the article). But yes, Federer definitely has the advantage and as I said, I do not think he will let what happened last year happen again.

Do or die for Federer and Nadal

Thanks Vinay 🙂 I appreciate that.

Also – just the idea of a Nadal Federer final is so exciting. You are very right!! Only a few more days to go though and we’ll know. Fingers crossed anyway.

Do or die for Federer and Nadal

Have to agree about Hindy. Im a QLD supporter and we all shake our heads about firstly the way he was kept out of the team and now the way he’s been dropped.

I don’t think a forward in NSW tried harder than Hindmarsh did in Game 2. It’s disappointing.

Jay – it is good to hear of a fan though who does see where the problems are going wrong. I agree that the halves for Parramatta are underperforming. This is where Hayne tries to cover for them and then gets blamed and ridiculed for being in the halves positions. Good to hear a voice of reason though that doesn’t blame just Hayne.

The curse of the one-man NRL team

Thank you for the positive feedback oikee 🙂 Muchly appreciated.
Also about the Broncos – I always feel your pain with them. They always have a slump but somehow manage to pull themselves out of it. I don’t know why they do it to us!
