“We cant keep calling off etc”. Insensitive comment. Only just happened and the funeral will be next week. Playing wont necessarily help for all when you are grieving.

The Gabba Test has to be called off

one of the most pretentious and ignorant articles i have ever read….

Pumas are a waste of space in the Rugby Championship

i lost respect for ricky when he abused that ref the day after the world cup loss.

he often has pretentious in his comments. his early success appears to have inflated his ego and his monetary value. how long can this last?

Is Paul Kent the NRL's most powerful head hunter?

winning against a weakened side is never as good as beating a full strength side. but then if you are on a desperate losing streak of 8 years you’ll claim/take anything.

PRICHARD: NSW won't care if they beat a weakened Queensland

blue tinted glasses i think

Greg Bird's charge a massive overreaction

sorry dont understand your comment. png hunters are playing in the qld comp this year and the port moresby vipers have also played in this comp previously.
“league exists outside of NSW”????

Ranking the NRL expansion bids: Part II

unless there a mass exodus of the elite players, i see the war chest as completely unnecessary. if israel and sonny-bill leave, it is unfortunate but the game still survives at a very high standard. good luck to them if they seek better money or challenges elsewhere.

Dave Smith should abandon his 'war chest' idea

i very much doubt PNG would be number 1 for expansion for so many reasons. whilst they love rugby league and i would to see them get a team at some time in the future there are many practical issues regarding a bid.
security, stadiums, travel costs, enticing players not from png, socioeconomics in the region, TV marketability / revenue, sponsorship etc. whilst some of these could be overcome, it is unlikely that they would be the no.1 choice in the shorter term.
whilst the png hunters is a nice idea in principle and people seem excited about it, people need to understand and read a bit further……….this has been tried before i.e. the port moresby vipers played in QLD previously.

Ranking the NRL expansion bids: Part II

adults should not need minders. their positions are a privilege not a right. if they mess up because they have tendencies for dodgy behaviour then thats their own problem and they need to live with the consequences like everyone else.

Rugby league players need minders

yes stop showing that picture. what planet is the roar on?

SMITHY: Accidents, not the rules, cause injuries in the NRL

you need to familiarise yourself a bit more with the history of RL in brisbane. one team is ridiculous for a city this size, league stronghold etc.

NRL expansion a matter of numbers, not feelings

why is there a picture again?

Footy Show gets serious: A tasteful tribute to Alex McKinnon

this is not a “one off twist of fate”.

to me that is a player getting hit by a meteorite.

fatalism may just be a way of people dealing with the horror of this and to minimise what happened/distance themselves from what happened in the game they love. a better response is to consider how it can be further prevented.

thats why we have things like occupational health and safety laws and inquiries etc after accidents.

You can't legislate against one-off twists of fate

people indicating he “played for the penalty” need to stop trolling and go out in the sunshine. you are losing your grasp of reality and need to leave cyberspace and go out in the 3D space.

You can't legislate against one-off twists of fate

my biggest concern is when the media use war terms to describe or hype a rugby league or union match (or any sport for that matter). e.g. “going into battle”, ” a brutal game”, “he’s a war horse”, “war of attrition”, “warrior” etc.

The ANZAC Test just doesn’t add up

The worst debuts in sports history

“the great tragedy with russell….” this dude deserves no sympathy. he is responsible for his own actions and the consequences, bennetts comments are highly insensitive with regards to the victim of russell’s violence.

Bennett disappointed by Packer jailing

yes hearing warne and slater discussing warne’s son climbing the harbour bridge with his girlfriend is fascinating and riveting television and quality commentary. i also loved the giggles when they discussed the sleeping arrangements between his young son and his girlfriend when they travel.

SPIRO: Big Bash a hit as Channel Nine opts for Mickey Mouse antics

i lost complete respect for nine when i saw the piers morgan thing and then heard the commentators talking about warne’s son and his climbing of the harbour bridge with his girlfriend followed by some giggles about the sleeping arrangement between his young son and his girlfriend when they travelled.

SPIRO: Big Bash a hit as Channel Nine opts for Mickey Mouse antics

if gallen cuts out the thuggery then he might get respect.

Queensland hates me but respects me: Gallen

“a duty of care to Russell and his family”. what a joke. the courts have said he has committed a serious criminal offence. ask the dude whose head he stomped on how much support he deserves.
“acted inappropriately” – peeing on the field is acting inappropriately, stomping on someone’s head is not, pure violence in my book. how about “acted criminally”, “acted violently” rather than minimising it with “inappropriately”

Knights have to look after Packer: Bennett

please dont freddy

Fittler to make Roosters comeback: reports

the continuing decline of channel 9 coverage. this was just a PR stunt and a bad image for the game, bit like rugby promoting spear tackles. amazing what passes as acceptable entertainment these days, a dude trying to knock another one’s head off.
there is way too much talking/giggling from these next generation, retired cricketers posing as commentators. hate to think how much they must earn from their egotistical ramblings.

SPIRO: Idiotic Piers Morgan trashes a great MCG Ashes Test

trolling reid, time for you to turn off the computer and go out in the sunshine

Five ways to improve rugby league

your comments are some of the most ignorant i have ever seen. if you dont like rugby league or football or whatever game, fine, just stop clogging these areas with your drivel. these narcissistic comments are usually driven by attention seeking and some misguided notion of your self identity and superiority.
