And no mention of the Reds loss to the Force anywhere indicating some potential.

Super Rugby Power Rankings - and how the next three games will shape the Aussie clubs' seasons

Well done Force ladies.

Tahs put down marker by thrashing Fijiana, Force overcome Reds in Super Rugby Women

Unfortunately I could be at the ground today to watch the Force finally put a good consistent effort in to win.
Have to watch it tomorrow.

Reds' 'unbelievable, unfathomable' double disaster sums up shocker as Force spring stunning upset

But then, he would say that wouldn’t he.
If it was not the VRU/Rebels exactly, it was the ARU with a plan to kill the Force in favour of Vic as the composite issues of distance to Perth, perceived smaller catchment, etc etc.
It was definitely the plan to knock off the Force after Rugby WA exchanged the ownership for a $800k loan.

COMMENT: This is the real reason why the Force were cut in 2017

2 days to reflect on what I saw on Friday night, also watched the Wallabies 2023 Doco.
I guess that effort and commitment are unlikely to be missing in the lead up to the Force game, just as I doubt the lack of commitment of the Wallabies and coaches last year.
Maybe E.J. was right when he was telling Slips that Aust rugby players are not used to being tough competitors, too few games, too little grind.
Is this a result of trying to pick “winners” for academies, who then don’t get to experience week in week out grind, even at club level?

Hurricanes pump Western Force as Achilles heel exposed again in early reality check

Good work both getting to the finals. Disappointed for the girls, they didn’t really get a chance to get into the game and settle down. The boys had already exceeded expectations and lost to #1.
All up a great weekend in Perth.

The music was really load and made it difficult to talk to the person next to you, my only criticism of the day.

'We should be the Aussie sixes': the huge problem sevens team must fix before Olympics as Levi joins sister after ban

Great day at the 7s, 9.5hrs of wonderful entertainment. Pity RA and WA State Govt didn’t do any advertising where non-rugby people might see it.
On the red, there was no head clash from any of the angles shown on the big screens. Rubbish red that cost the game.

'We should be the Aussie sixes': the huge problem sevens team must fix before Olympics as Levi joins sister after ban

“They need fewer Aussie teams and two or three new teams from the Americas, Japan and even potentially South Africa,” Reason wrote.
Again, another reason why WA Rugby would be foolish to hand over control, for a second time, to RA after the back stabbing debacle of 2017.
It was the Kiwis who instigated the reduction in the number of Aust teams back then and is a continuing theme in their preferred model for trans-Tasman comps.
There can be no trust of RA from anyone west of the Blue Mountains until the HQ is removed from the east coast of Australia and the proximity and influence Sydney and Wellington.

Rugby WA better have learnt their lesson of handing over the keys before being axed by the ARU. Never again.

'Right people in right roles': QRU break silence on RA's reform hopes, back review into Wallabies' RWC flop

Why would any club do this, WARugby did in late 2015, we all know what the ARU did in 2017, then change their name to RA. NSW have nothing to lose as RA is all about Sydney.

Exclusive: 'Seismic shift' as Waratahs to hand over keys to RA in boost to reform push - others to follow

Rugby WA was told in 2016 that they’d be looked after if the Force exchanged its IP for $800k. Next year they backstabbed the WA rugby community. The EARU/ARU/RA are not to be trusted.

End game? States plotting to roll RA board after Wallabies flop

I have just been reminded in another article how David Nucifora was treated by the ARU, another example of the poor treatment of the game.

The Wrap: With Wallabies done and dusted in 15 miserable days, who do we trust to take Australian rugby forward?

This all starts from the latter days of Robbie Dean’s and his treatment by the ARU. Failure to get a decent amount of Super rugby on free to air when it was worth something. Then not supporting Ewan McKenzie in the Kurtly Beal fiasco. Then the backstabbing of WA rugby was surely the most appalling thing a national body could do to its code, no state will now want to give up its autonomy after the lesson dealt to the Force. Then the Folau debacle, the inability to get a consistent NRC tournament happening annually. The main cause being the one eyed Sydney centric idea that it’s the only place rugby matters in Australia. Then the axing of Dave Rennie, add to that the stupid idea that any coach could fix things in a short period of time has meant another coach has been burnt for no gain.
These are just a couple of the issues in a time line over the last +10 years where it has been the ARU/RA who have damaged the game.
Start with the root and branch removal of RA from Sydney.

Mclennan was not pn the board, true, but he was in senior management.

The uncomfortable truth: Whether under Rennie or Jones, the Wallabies just aren't good enough

I read the article interviewing Mclennan, flabbergasted is a underutilised word, but even that is not an accurate description of my dismay. The fact is he was one of the main architects of the axing of the Force in 2017, and after WA rugby agreed to start the move to a centralised body, we know exactly how this will turn out. WA and the other smaller states will once again be sacrificed for the EARU (East Australia Rugby Union). It was Mclennan and co who orchestrated the most abominable act of sporting administrative destruction in Australian history. It was this stab in the back that started the Australian people to turned away from the game. They saw this low act for what it was, pure self interest in NSW, Qld and Vic.
What the RA (Rugby Australia) need to do is start appreciating the real hard grafters in juniors, those kids that are not flashy at u10, u12 etc, but those that get the game and work through to u18 and u20 and haven’t relied on early development.
In other words, stop taking kids into special environments and work on them all.

Force side played well v the Cheetahs last night. The difference in the end was the Cheetahs forwards, noticeably bigger all round.

Issak Fines-Leleiwasa is worth a shot, with Aust A v Tonga he stood out clearly. Just hope when Nic White comes to the Force next year they don’t shut out IFL who is improving every season.

As Roosevelt said, talk quietly and carry a big stick.
Wallabies haven’t had a big stick for years, and EJ keeps talking.
When we have a big stick, then we can say something, til then, let’s start growing some big trees.
