It started with Cate Campbell breaking the Olympic Record to be fastest qualifier into the 100m Freestyle final tomorrow night. Her sister Bronte qualified 5th.
Maddie Groves earnt Silver in the 200 Butterfly only 0.03 seconds behind Mireia Belmonte of Spain.
18 year old Kyle Chalmers won GOLD in the 100 Freestyle, ending years of Australian heartbreak in the event.
Taylor McKeown will start as fastest qualifier for the 200 Breaststroke final tomorrow.
Australia’s women’s 4x200m Freestyle relay team claimed Silver behind the US.

After a slow start Australia Emma McKeon moved Australia to 1st place after the second leg. Bronte Barratt maintained the lead for Australia before Katie Ledecky went past Tamsin Cook in the last 200.
17 year old Cook produced a great swim to not let Ledecky have it all her own way and holding off a fast finishing Canada who finished 3rd.
