Agree with you on that Poth Ale. The most important thing which came out of the RWC 2023 hosting decision is that the World Rugby Council will not just ‘rubber-stamp’ a report from million dollar consultants – there’s still room for traditional bargaining and dealing, which means the strict criteria in the evaluation process are not the ‘be all and end all”. The criteria the evaluation committee had to look at effectively eliminates most rugby markets, thus the Council’s decision still keeps open the possibility of RWC being held in countries like USA, Ireland, Argentina and Italy

Thanks savant. Agreed re: O’Brien. Genia, not so sure, just too inconsistent, and yes Cheika was always in the mix for the list, just crucial moments went against him this year, but, (I know this is sacrilege to some) – I actually like his style, and believe the players often let him down at crucial moments. Wessels is certainly one to look out for, and will be watching him closely over the next 12 months
