Pearce has played on Dixon, Daniher, and Lynch so far for a grand total of 2 goals kicked on him. All-Australian form so far.

Gold Coast Suns vs Fremantle Dockers: AFL live scores, blog

I think Hogan is less attractive to Freo than he was a year or two ago. He had his chance but re-signed with the Dees. I reckon Freo have moved on.

Why Melbourne should trade Jesse Hogan in 2018

I can’t stand Hagdorn but have always liked Hardie. I don’t listen to 6pr much anymore but I heard them the other day and to a man the commentators were full of loathing for Ross Lyon.
It is clearly all personal. I might add, Simpson gets an absolute free ride from the Perth media. West Coast are untouchable in the West.

Why Melbourne should trade Jesse Hogan in 2018

Ryan’s field kicking was terrible. Just threw it on the boot and hoped. But he presented well and showed something and his bump on Langdon was a thing of beauty.

I shudder to think of West Coast without Kennedy.

Dockers dominate dismal Eagles

How on earth is Naitanui still not ready? Any eagles fans know anything? They were saying he could have played at the end of last season and now he is missing round 1?

Vardy, Naitanui in doubt for Eagles opener

I still reckon they will finish between 7-10. Yeah the midfield is poor, but there is just too many goalkickers for them to finish much lower. Kennedy, Darling, Lecras, Cripps, maybe Liam Ryan too. There’s 170 plus goals right there.

AFL preview series: West Coast Eagles – 13th

For a pre season game it was actually a quality game.
Taberner looked good as did Luke Ryan and Alex Pearce, plus the usual suspects.
Can’t see D.Pearce or Sheridan playing too many games.

Crows pip Dockers in AFL pre-season game

I think Freo have drafted well. Picks 2 and 5 were somewhat speculative to me. Brayshaw was taken too high from what I have seen of the stats but I am happy to defer to the wisdom of the recruiting department, who will have seen him actually play- unlike me. Cerra is no doubt a talent but it seems we played it safe with our first two picks. Time will tell. But I think we really nailed it after that because we picked guys that, statistically at least, are very good footballers. Check out the seasons that North, Crowden, Banfield and Dixon had. Even Switkowski. These guys can play footy and are physically developed.
I still think we will be poor next season, possibly even the season after that, but Freo have gone all in on the rebuild and when it turns we will be right up there.

2017 AFL Draft review: Part 1, Adelaide Crows to GWS Giants

I saw Sam Taylor play colts and league for swan districts a number of times this year. I don’t know he can play because the afl told me he can- I know because I have seen him play.

Callum Twomey and the tac cup are only one pathway to the big league.

2017 AFL Rookie Draft results: Every player picked and where they went

Lol. Melbourne and freo winning flags. The very idea of it.

Western Australia draft double for Brayshaw family

Everything in his body language said to me he will leave as soon as he can.

Rayner the standout in unpredictable AFL draft

Had no idea who he was but am stoked Freo picked him up. Seems hard as nails and has played against men which is a huge advantage when analysing west/south aussie draft prospects over their vic counterparts. Crowden may well debut ahead of any of the other Freo picks.

2017 AFL Draft: Club-by-club review, my take on every team

Higgins is an interesting one. Would not be disappointed if Freo took him at 5. Won’t happen though.

Hi hungry jack, I really enjoy your posts but would appreciate it if you could add some more exclamation marks. Cheers.

Australia win first International Rules Test, Pendlebury injured

Wow. Great hissy fit hungry jack.

The difference between many good wafl players and your standard afl player is opportunity. That’s it.

Lack of quality forwards has haunted Fremantle for 25 years. I fail to see how 2018 will be any different.

2018 AFL crystal ball: Familiar faces in the big dance

Weller is average. He may get alot better, he may not. It could go either way. Yeah, he’s a good kick (a rarity at Freo) but like Tucker he doesn’t get the ball enough and is want to go missing. Sometimes for weeks on end. He is also small. Personally I think Tucker and Langdon have more upside.
If I had no idea Weller wanted to leave and another club offered me a top 15 pick I would do it in a heartbeat. Pick 2 is deal of the century and a harsh lesson for Gold Coast that you never make promises to a contracted player.

2018 AFL crystal ball: Familiar faces in the big dance

Unless Fremantle can rise again by 2020 this will be Lyon’s last gig. He has lost the fan base at Freo and the wider footy community can’t stand the way his teams play. Personally I think he is a very good coach and the way the team plays isn’t all his fault. He has been hamstrung by a recruiting department completely incompetent at finding forwards.

2018 AFL crystal ball: Familiar faces in the big dance

Woah. Really? I thought Tucker was lucky to be picked for half his games this year, and, much like Weller, got a run because the Fremantle squad is so awful. But credit where it’s due he has huge upside, can actually kick, and when he gets anywhere near within range of goal he puts the ball through the bloody sticks.

2018 AFL crystal ball: Familiar faces in the big dance

Fremantle will come last next year and should start to build after that.
We are both Fremantle fans Don but the difference between me and you is that I view what happens on the footy field as the ultimate truth whereas you just pull things out of your ass.

Actually put me down for bottom four. North and GC are probably further from a flag than Freo.

2018 AFL crystal ball: Familiar faces in the big dance

Yawn.

AFL headed back to China in 2018

I reckon freo will hedge their bets and take the best player available at pick 2 and Naughton at 5. That would be fine by me because Naughton is a very good player and has proven himself against men already- unlike the vic prospects. All-Australian as well.

West Coast are cunning getting alot of picks in the 20’s. They will take Sam Taylor from swan districts- another all-Australian who has played against men and shone in the finals. They will also look at Oscar Allen but it’s after that things will get interesting because I think the two WA clubs will fight over Kelly, Schloithe and Ryan.

AFL Phantom Draft 2017: A very, very early top 20

LOL. Terrified.

The three biggest winners of the AFL trade period

As a Freo fan I feel we lost out badly on the Crozier deal. Pick 40 for a bloke in our best 22 is unders. He is at that stage of his career where he could go either way but at 23 years old Freo should have persisted for a couple more years or got a better pick. We put years of work into Crozier and threw it away too cheaply. Will be a good player at the dogs.

Bontompelli is from East Fremantle.
