And jackled the penalty to close the match
'Be useful': how unrivalled discipline and work rate is lifting the Reds to new heights
Good Lord… The angst of a kiwi over a positive Reds article referencing 3 games not 1. First comment. Good for you
'Be useful': how unrivalled discipline and work rate is lifting the Reds to new heights
Yeah true Piru, but it’s always good fun reading the outraged commentary you have to admit
The Crusaders dynasty looks dead - so how will it impact the All Blacks?
Yeah, the process not the individual players. They didn’t have a home anymore but there were also a few fans in 2006 that begrudged the Force pinching players that were housed. Again, the process not the players.
.
This article is OK but isn’t objective for obvious reasons as mentioned above. I suppose it also comes down a bit to your personal view of Twiggy too. I’ve been against reducing from 5 Super teams but not anymore.
.
Whilst we’re David Byrne theming, there’s a couple of other songs by that genius that weren’t mentioned. “Dancing for Money” , “Big Daddy”, “Sugar on My Tongue”……
'He screwed our state': The act that still angers Twiggy Forrest and why he's not ready to jump back in
You’re very dog with a bone on this Brendan. I’m happy to take Coles’ positive commentary as he would probably have a slightly better idea on Joe for obvious reasons.
'Something we needed': Coles says ABs would not have made RWC final without Schmidt - and why Wallabies stand to benefit
It is about a coach yeah, the Wallabies coach.

Yeah well y’know, it is February so ……..

Not sure what you mean?
'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview
I reckon a day either side wouldn’t really be a good option. Would make it look a bit smart arsey.
I think the main thing would be the idea of recognition. Of listening. It wouldn’t cost us much to look at another date. Same recognition of a great country and still a holiday!
.
Costs little and achieves a lot
'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview
Don’t do the read it twice thing. Thats lazy. It was a discussion about your artificial construct claim. I believe you’re wrong and explained why. Respond to that or don’t. No need for the snark
'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview
Misread that. Sorry Barb.
'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview
How is it an artificial construct? Is this another ‘truth’ or just an opinion about how indigenous people should feel. It’s the day proper British settlement is recognised as having started. The fact those in Arnhem Land weren’t directly affected on that particular day is totally irrelevant. It’s when it all started. Fast for some, less so for others. That changes nothing. The date has become a touchstone for when it all started.
.
It amazes me how many people seem comfortable telling indigenous how they should feel.
'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview
“in truth it’s the celebration itself that is contested not the date”. And you know this as a truth how exactly? It’s your opinion not a truth.
.
It’s the date. Having an Aus day is OK. Making it the day the Jack was raised and the invasion started isn’t to many. Surely that isn’t a hard concept to appreciate. The date is not a great historical tradition. It’s easy to move and really isn’t any skin of anyones nose. Never understand the belligerence considering our history. March 3rd as HR suggests or align it with Naidoc week.
'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview
Wha? I’m sure that made sense in your head Barb when you wrote it. Pretty sure
'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview
Point me to where “elite” was used. “These people” too hey. Awesome.
.
Bobby D my boy, it’s about time you watched the vid and THEN respond to this article. Pat comes across very well after being asked a question. But some can’t help but get themselves righteously outraged by a reasonable opinion asked for and deftly given. He didn’t even say what you’ve suggested. And to suggest he’s being influenced “by a handful of people” is just nonsense. As is the suggestion that “these people” as you so eloquently put it, have been treated totally equally throughout their careers. You really know stuff apparently. Mates with Boland I expect to know this even though he’s one of “those people”.

That’s a bit rough.
.aus rugby has for too many yrs expected all their miseries to be vanquished by one person, whether that be player or coach. Maybe like Kiwis last year expecting all their miseries to be vanquished by changing the coach? It was a chorus line for a while there. Also sweeping but probably more accurate.
.
Did the recent narcissist masquerading as our coach take us to the brink? Absolutely. Will positive moves help take us back from that brink? Yep. Is Joe going to help connect Aus rugby more than over the last while? Yep. Has he got a solid record, history and respectful relationship with the new HP manager, with Nucifora in an advisory role, with Less Kiss. Yes, yes and yes. Are the players responding? Yes. Sounds a bit like a team approach but we shall see.
.
I haven’t seen much Messiah complex stuff. Just some much needed positivity after a horror stretch you couldn’t really understand. How about you let us enjoy that for a while without the typical haughtiness
How Joe Schmidt is going to 'connect us all' and bring Australian rugby back from the brink
Should be spicey. Apparently there’s a “retired” guy who may be looking for a gig. Kismet
'How do I get out of Australian rugby?' Wallaby's anguish after year from hell - and why there are 'no excuses' for Rebels
I quote Mr whistle-blower (retired)
“The chasm still exists between the perception of many, and the reality that is espoused by the players. The Jones naysayers have yet to have just one Wallaby who is not a fan of the man. Too much naivety here”..
I think those thoughts have been put to bed now on a number of occasions.

You did say good 5/8’s. Kafer didn’t get a lot of games and he actually went to Canberra Grammar. Pat Howard didn’t get a lot of games either and he’s a Marist Ashgrove old boy then Qld Uni then the Reds
A disastrous decline: 10 Years since the Waratahs won the Super Rugby title and reasons behind growing list of problems
Berrick Barnes (Ippy Grammar) & Elton Flatley (Joey’s), Matt Rogers (TSS) are products of Qld rugby schools and Matt Giteau from Canberra (St. Ed’s). Apart from that, you are correct

He’s making the right noises. I think Schmidt is short odds too
RA's new HP director 'totally open' to foreign coach as RA sets timeline, CEO reacts to player dismay over Eddie
“Australia’s best ever coach” = a no brainer. Thankyou for a chuckle on a quiet-ish Tuesday morning.

It’s a big no from me but I appreciate your work
'Everyone's in the hunt': RA won't rule out stunning Wallabies return after Cheika departs Argentina role
No, ironically. I don’t think it’s the players perspicacity in question.
'An experiment gone wrong': Wallabies star opens up on 'chaotic' year - and why Aussie rugby can be turned around
So because the players haven’t come out and publicly slammed the man, they are all actually fans. And even after reading the above and what Whitey had to say, you believe him to be part of an all in Wallaby fan club.
Speaking of naivety and chasms….
'An experiment gone wrong': Wallabies star opens up on 'chaotic' year - and why Aussie rugby can be turned around
I’m thinking another half truth like the Japanese saga. Hard to know really but what I do know for sure is the level of nauseous BS he uttered/utters to the players in the Stan doco. So hard to listen to.
He’ll be remembered in his second coming as a stain on Aus Rugby
'Everything was approved': Eddie hits back at $2.6m RWC budget blow-out, says Wallabies can build team around young gun
