I agree that the smaller forward line can work but Paul makes a fair comment in saying that the Pies small forwards pressure isn’t good enough (Elliot and Fasolo for example aren’t good pressure players)

I’m not a believer in moving Howe forward, he’s an incredible asset in defence
Darcy Moore will star in defence
That’s a fair point, I too hope Darcy can be a gun forward but reckon he’ll benefit greatly from spending time down back
Darcy Moore will star in defence
And with the forward line, I think we’ll go with a small forward line with players like Elliot, Fasolo and Sidebottom being threats inside 50. Seems Cox will play as a key forward and back up ruck judging by the comments coming out of the club, though I have my doubts on his ability to play forward. Will be interesting to see how it plays out

Thanks Peter, yes I believe two intercepts markers can work for the the Pies given Howe’s versatility to play on multiple types of forwards, I reckon it could be a real weapon in slingshotting attacks.

Golden Moments: How Roarers saw the Second Ashes Test as told through their comments
Also think he should be coming in above Starc in the batting order, shows poise, composure and good technique
England need their own Mitchell Starc
I’d have to agree with Vaughan on that, Cummins has been one of the best performed players in both tests, stats don’t quite illustrate his influence with bat and ball so far
England need their own Mitchell Starc
Cahill is a proven match-winner on the biggest of occasions, his experience is invaluable and the confidence he must instil in his teammates would almost be enough in itself to justify his spot
Cahill leaves City: Why, how, and what next?
I reckon Lester and Mathieson will both be picked, also think Josh Walker may struggle for opportunities depending what path they choose to go down
Best 22 analysis: Brisbane
Having Stokes there and pushing Ali down to bat at 8 would be huge for England
Australia run through England to go up 2-0 in the Ashes
This test was anything but predictable, the crazy scenes starting before a ball was even bowled with Root’s decision to send the Aussies in!
Australia run through England to go up 2-0 in the Ashes
In saying that I hope he can find consistency because he’s a beautiful player to watch in full flight
Best 22 analysis: Adelaide
I’ve always loved Seedy but there’s too many question marks over his performances to rely on him, especially in a side firmly gunning for a flag
Best 22 analysis: Adelaide
The Mariners have been the most enjoyable side to watch in the A-League this season IMO, refreshing to say the least
How Paul Okon's getting the best out of his brave Mariners
Fair point, no risk in taking a chance on him as a rookie, cheers for the info!

2017 AFL Rookie Draft results: Every player picked and where they went
Agree with the confusion around the Pies’ decision to not take a key-position player but I’d say they’re making it clear they believe small ball is the way of the future. Bucks has said Moore will play back often in 2018 so it’ll be interesting to see what they do, I fear Cox will keep getting opportunities to mess with Grundy’s dominance
2017 AFL Draft review: Part 1, Adelaide Crows to GWS Giants
I agree with the point on the handling of the retiring players, you can’t win regardless of the timing. It gave them and the fans a chance to say goodbye
