Ferguson is a grub. Plain and simple! He maybe a good footballer but the NRL don’t need more dramas off field which he sure will bring…again! Add to all this what he did to the Raiders last year. Walked out on them after all he did earlier in the season & didn’t return phone calls or show up to another game or training with that club. Then after season is complete, comes out and says he is sorry & off the drink and blah blah! All rubbish. We have enough good players in the NRL, & we don’t need Ferguson in the NRL. If the NRL register his contract this season or next, they are morons.

Does Blake Ferguson deserve another chance?

Does Blake Ferguson deserve another chance?

As a Massive Miami & LeBron fan I agree that after the past fortnight KD is now without doubt in front in the race. He has single handedly taken his team to best record in West. A few games earlier this month KD scored well but on an ordinary FG% & lots of turnovers but in this past fortnight he has been unbelievable. Can LeBron catch back up, sure! However with the Spoelstra likely to shut the Big 3 down early this regular season he better start making a charge soon. Today against KD would be a start. Miami are coasting right now, but if they cant get up for OKC & KD on their streak then the MVP trophy & a return to NBA finals takes a step backwards.

Finally, a legitimate NBA MVP debate

hahaha. Is this article a Gee up or what? Ryan O’Connell talks sense, the writer of this article…not so much! Maybe you prefer to watch Aaron Affalo who just put up 40 for the Magic or how about Rudy Gay who puts up 30+ shots a game but still averages less than LeBron. Learn the Game!

Has LeBron James become boring to watch?

Thanks for reading Guys & girls. My concern is not this season at all as Miami just need to be fit and firing come the playoffs. Thats all good. However, my concern is after this season is completed no matter what the result. LeBron wants to compete for a title every year, and there will have to be salary cut from the roster next year and that may well be Bosh. How confident would LeBron be that Wade can be there for him night in and night out for next 3 seasons with no Bosh given Wade’s Knee ongoing issues & precautionary measures already. I dont care much for regular season and am not bothered by being 1-2 currently. But I am concerned about LeBron re-signing with Miami in 2014 given they will have to cut some players and with Wade playing less and less over past few seasons.

Resting Wade leaves question marks for the Heat

As usual a great article Ryan! As a Miami Fan, I see that this will be the hardest season to win of the past few. Even with the deepest roster of the last few years, those other teams are lining up. Heat will have easy first round win, but then possibly have to go through a healthy Bulls with Rose who Heat notoriously sturggle with & then the Pacers with Granger back. Both these teams muscle the Heat in paint and unless Oden can play 15 mins a night against those two teams then it will be tough to even make it back to NBA Finals. If Heat can make it to NBA finals then they may well win it but it will be the toughest season yet for the Back to Back champs in my opinion. I think Bulls may well win tomorrow too and make a statement on Ring Night in Miami. Saying all that, I love that the NBA is back…..GO THE HEAT!!

In Miami’s vice: can anyone beat the Heat?

Australian Media & most people will complain about England playing boring Cricket but they will win the Urn again! That is their priority and as you stated Kersi, is not at the top of list it seems for CA. We can complain about the poms being cheats/boring or whatever but they play a hard tough uncompromising brand of test cricket. They seem to get the job done! CA should be concentrating on getting our test team back to the top again and not worry about this smash and bash cricket so much. There is a time and place after the tests are won and done for ODI and or T20 but relearn to play 5 day cricket AND occupy the crease for heavens sake.

Why can’t Australia concentrate on regaining the Ashes?

27 Game Winning Streak!

Why this is the year to start following the NBA

I am a fan of it before the season starts as I was the 7’s tournament 10 or so years ago as I was the four quarter pre season knockout comp that used to travel around country venues. It’s a good chance to see your side run around on TV and actually win something for the season rather than meaningless pre season games with nothing on the line.

Is NRL Nines really the way to go?

Agree!

It's time to ice Steve Price

The back half of the run definitely! But LBJ getting POM in FEB shows he still was dominant in FEB. But POM in MAR could go to Wade depending on how he plays on this road trip!

Spurs will stop the Heat in their tracks

Nice article.I am a massive Miami fan but this streak will end on this 5 game road trip. Heat got away with one today in Philly but Bucks on Saturday could be the one. With 5 games on the road in 8 days, the streak will come to an end. But at the end of the day getting the #1 seed in the NBA, homecourt through the entire playoffs, staying healthy and defending the title are the priorities. Chalk another MVP up for the King also.

Spurs will stop the Heat in their tracks

Durant is an amazing scorer however he scored 22 of those 40 in the last quarter when the game was gone. Miami love a challenge as their great record against the West shows this season. They go into ‘lazy’ mode some games which as a Heat fan is incredibly frustrating but if they continue to play as they have in the past fortnight, the NBA title will head back to South Beach in June. I am appreciating watching greatness in LeBron’s play. I won’t take it for granted as I did watching Jordan in the 90’s when I was younger.

LeBron has that look again

He started the season not fully fit due to injury and off season surgery. Please note he is shooting a career high Field Goal % this season. He had taken more forced shots in previous years but had higher point scoring output due to many more attempts. FG% is the yard stick. Bosh, Wade & LBJ all shooting career high FG % this year. Wade is losing some spring in his step but is still a deserved All Star this season. But I can’t see him being an All Star for too much longer with young stars like Beal coming through.

Is Dwyane Wade still an All-Star?

You are spot on Rickety Knees! Only I might drop Watson to 5 (due to his bowling & getting some rest before having to bat) and Hussey to 4 for now.

Does the Australian Test team have the right openers?

Ryan, I like the idea of Warner dropping down to 6. Would be explosive against the older ball and tired bowlers in test cricket. And if the top order batted well, could then look to attack against the second new ball! Keep him at the top in the two shorter forms of the game.

Does the Australian Test team have the right openers?

Everyone is entitled to their opinon Binoy, but how Smith runs his side is not cheating or against the laws of the game but it is hard and tough cricket. He has the results on the board and with that comes the respect that he deserves.

The logic of the bully: Smith’s captaincy

Ryan, Fantastic idea! I know Warner scored a good hundred last start but he is very pronce up the top of the order against a new call to get out early. I would prefer two steady openers to pave the way for Clarke to come out and do his thing. And Warner would be devestating against an older ball and even the second new ball against tired bowlers would work too.

Who is next in line to replace Ponting?

Australia will win today and Ponting will be spared due to the run scoring of Clarke, Hussey and Warner in this test. Also throw in that Quiney can’t hit a ball off the square and selectors won’t make two changes to a winning team. Three if you include Patto. The more opportunites Ponting gets he will make runs at some stage as did David Warner in the first innings. Doesnt mean they should get that many opportunities but the stunning form of Clarke and Hussey has given Ponting breathing space for now I gather.

It’s Ricky Ponting’s job to score runs, not retire

Mikka, I 100% stand by the article. Warner should not be in the test team. He is great entertainment and played great yesterday but if you keep giving someone an opportunity they will eventually will score runs. Ponting will score runs again if they give him enough chances. And Ponting shouldnt be in the side either.

Australian cricket's current dilemma

Starc should have been given a go. Something different for South Africa to deal with. Different angle going across the right handers and can bend it back into them also. I suppose we will see in the next few days if they have made the right call!

Watson misses second Test, Starc 12th man

An inspirational leader and a hard nosed batsman. I think the Aussies could do with an opener like him these days who fights for his wicket!

Smith one of the bravest men I've seen

Josh, Phil Hughes should be in there. Next week my article will be who I think should be in the Aussie XI IF I was selecting the team. This article is only based on what the selectors have chosen for Adelaide. Cheers.

Australian cricket's current dilemma

Warner’s scores: 3, 12*, 15, 123*, 37, 5, 8, 180, 8, 28, 42, 22, 29, 17, 50, 11 & 4. Against New Zealand & India who Clarke and the co belted around and West Indies who who we all know about how strong they are. If those scores were against South Africa and England then I could give him longer but they are against poor attacks. His two hundreds were phenomanal but 3 scores above 50 in 17 digs is unacceptable against that opposition.

Australian cricket's current dilemma

Miami have just come off a six game west coast road trip. Playing 4 games in 5 nights and a few without Wade and one with a sick LeBron. With many games over the next two weeks at home, the Heat will be at the top of the East sooner rather than later. However, Knicks have been playing some great basketball as have Memphis. It is good to see these teams start so well. Melo has been superb!
