From what it looked like on the sideline there was a big difference in the squad sizes, with QLD having a plethora of players and ACT were looking little lean. I am not sure whether this was due to having to travel though.

A new Force to reckon with

I think when they changed the laws a few years ago so that opens rugby adhere’s to the same scrum laws as u/19 or colts was a step backwards. yes safety is paramount in a collision that generates the equivalent force of a car crash through the spines of a front row forward but the over litigious framework that now governs the impact is what is causing the problems. Referees are stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to making a decision on why a scrum failed, these laws give them a point of reference to site when they decide to penalise one player over the other. e.g. the specific hand placement of a loose head prop, if a scrum goes down and he has not bound at the correct point the referee can blow a penalty. When the physics of the collision are not impacted by the simple placement of a hand.

The scrum is one of the most important battle of inches on a rugby field and in many cases the ability to win these battles is the catalyst for great attack.

Coaching stability the key for success in the NFL

my mistake on the firing/trade. either way they sought to remove him from the role of head coach of their team, No compensation they got for him could compare to winning a Superbowl or being successful for years to come. As the article clearly states there are a plethora of other reasons why and why not a team is successful in the NFL but it’s not a coincidence that the perennial contenders in the NFL have a stable front office and head coaching situation

so when the raiders fired john gruden it was because he was unsuccessful? he took them to the AFC Championship and lost due to the tuck rule. then the next year he won the Superbowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

gronk had taken one step after catching the ball and didn’t make a football movement before he was hit by ward……..the defender could have hit him anywhere but chose to attack the knee.
