Ok boomer that’s enough internet for you today. Stop trying to talk down to everyone because your older. Doesn’t necessarily make you smarter
Does Australia care about the FIFA Women's World Cup?
This is an opinion site everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if some are to precious to accept this
Does Australia care about the FIFA Women's World Cup?
You’re the one ignoring facts and replying with the only argument soccer fans have; its the most popular sport in the world. Yes, but in Australia, it is a minority sport with limited commercial appeal and low crowds. You need to accept facts
Does Australia care about the FIFA Women's World Cup?
Careful you’re making too much sense for Grem he might have a cry. And he’s a teacher apparently. God help his students
Does Australia care about the FIFA Women's World Cup?
Not in Australia. It’s a distant 4th or 5th behind AFL, NRL, cricket, even the mess that is rugby union is still more popular than the A League. 83000 at the MCG yesterday, 33,000 at Accor Stadium. The A League struggles to get 10k
Does Australia care about the FIFA Women's World Cup?
There was 83,000 fans at the MCG yesterday. Whrn was the last time the A League attracted 83,000 fans? Soccer may be popular at junior level but at domestic professional level it is miles behind AFL and NRL. Facts
Does Australia care about the FIFA Women's World Cup?
I’ve read some dumb stuff on the Roar and this one is up there. A milestone round played at one venue? Celebrating a milestone regardless of when it occurred even though the milestone has already been celebrated when it actually occurred. If a player plays his 300th game in round 1, he will be rightfully celebrated. Your advocating for him to be celebrated again, for no particular reason, months later.
Should the NRL introduce a Milestone Round?
You’re the insecure one. You’re getting upset because someone has a different opinion. Classic insecurity like everyone else on this thread that are too precious
Does Australia care about the FIFA Women's World Cup?
A soft draw means nothing if you’re playing badly
Opportunity knocks for the Eels with soft seven weeks ahead meaning top four still a possibility
Insecure about the women’s soccer world cup? Laughable. 4th most popular team? How many members do they have? What’s the average attendance of Matildas games? How have you come to this fantasy conclusion?
Does Australia care about the FIFA Women's World Cup?
That’s why you are a peasant rookie
Does Australia care about the FIFA Women's World Cup?
Most of Australia? I highly doubt it. Most of Australia will not care. At most they may take a passing interest online
Does Australia care about the FIFA Women's World Cup?
I don’t care about women’s soccer. It’s like men’s soccer only at a much lower standard. Calling them professional players is a bit of a stretch.
Does Australia care about the FIFA Women's World Cup?
Exactly. He is paid to play NRL, not to train but not play
Why NRL should revisit no fault stand-down policy in the wake of Brown allegations
When someone is stood down that is usually an indication of guilt. No fault stand down makes zero sense
Why NRL should revisit no fault stand-down policy in the wake of Brown allegations
I agree it is a very flawed process. Standing someone down paints them as guilty before they’ve had their day in court. JDB lost 2 and a half years because of it and they couldn’t even convict him. Woops, sorry a out that Jack. It’s a farce
Why NRL should revisit no fault stand-down policy in the wake of Brown allegations
But isn’t tier 1 and 2 already decided? It’s fairly obvious who is a tier 1 and who is a tier 2 team. NZ is tier 1 while Fiji is tier 2. Playing a couple of mid season games doesn’t change this
Stand-alone Origin is the only way forward
You can’t play Origin at the end of the season. Players whose teams didn’t play finals will not have played for 5 or 6 weeks and it will be a farce. The low ratings is a valid argument it was tried and failed. It was more to do with everyone having footy fatigue than anything else
Stand-alone Origin is the only way forward
3 Origins in 3 weeks I like, but the whole tiered system for internationals is unnecessarily complicated. Just have nations play each other over a couple of weeks to boost the international game no need for a convoluted tier system
Stand-alone Origin is the only way forward
The Dally M is a meaningless award based on a heavily flawed voting system I don’t rate it at all. Hynes was underwhelming on the weekend and will be a bench utility at best. If they pick Reynolds, they have to pick Walker
Bad news for Blues after Panthers announce Cleary hamstring scan results: 'Some serious issues there'
Reynolds and Walker would be my halves pairing. Luai can’t run a side and neither can Hynes. Putting them together in a must win game would be a disaster
Bad news for Blues after Panthers announce Cleary hamstring scan results: 'Some serious issues there'
4 or 5 week window? Finals teams are playing in September, into early October if they make the decider. You would be happy for internationals to be squeezed in then and almost no rest for players? This will result in player burnout and shorten careers. While there is a few weeks after the season available I don’t think it is viable to play internationals there. My idea makes much more sense, by shortening the season you probably finish everything by September, allowing for internationals and a decent rest for players
How to truly grow international rugby league (no, really)
He is putting individual achievements ahead of team performance and deserves to be criticised. If it was a must win game at the end of the season would he still do it? Whose to say Croker does his knee at training this week and is forced to retire, thus stranded on 299 games
Ricky rants at media 'muppets' in emotional defence of Jarrod Croker 300th game resting decision
The problem as I see it is the NRL season is too long, leaving little room for scheduling of internationals and Origin has been allowed to become far bigger than it was ever meant to. It was not meant to destroy international rugby league however that’s exactly what’s happened. Put the NRL on hold for June play the 3 Origins and a bunch of internationals. Shorten the NRL season to 20 rounds with no byes allowing for end of season Tests
How to truly grow international rugby league (no, really)
I don’t think beating a terrible Bulldogs side necessarily makes you an Origin player. Reynolds is extremely hard done by. Robson is an 80 minute hooker no need for Cook whose game hasn’t changed in 3 years
NSW Origin II team: Hynes pays price for dip in form, Moses, Cook recalled, Pangai punted, rising stars to debut
