I think it should read "In the context of this being the youngest AFL side in the comp, their 3rd game, and half the team having not yet reached puberty, the GWS put in a strong performance in going down to the Eagles". Its like say Sam Reid for the Swans. Everyone thinks he's doing "great" but they are talking in the context of how good he will/might be in 2-4 years time, rather than "he'll get 3 Sandover/Magarey Medal votes for that effort'.
