This provides an objective assessment of the effectiveness of a club’s list management / player turnover. I commend the author for presenting such an analysis that can be applied across all 18 clubs. A number of comments have identified possible explanations for the awful ‘value destruction’ undertaken by the Giants over recent seasons, it remains value destruction nonetheless. The question for the Giants is whether they can break the cycle – with little reason other than money driving players to stay with the Giants rather than a home state club with large support, it is hard not to be pessimistic about the outlook for the Giants.
