I love nearly every sport played. Favourite league player - Locky Favourite AFL player - Luke Hodge Favourite athlete anywhere - Lebron I'll never forget 2006, I was lucky enough to have a friend score me tickets to the SOO game at Suncorp, which we won. Then later in the year got last minute tickets to the Broncos/Storm GF, and saw Webcke go out on top, Best Sporting Moment!

The Miami bench/depth has been an issue, though I think the second string guys are better than some, Andersen, Haslem, Lewis etc. But lets not forget the amazing shooting sprees of games 3 and 4 by the Spurs, nobody would have been able to beat them in those games. I think Wade is well below his best and may be on the way out, he is little to no impact on games now.
Big off season ahead…

Miami's fight with fate comes to an end

Well, after today, either Miami will bring Melo and or someone of similar quality, or Lebron will be moving…

Definitely they need some depth!

Carmelo headed for Miami, NBA headed for disaster?

Credit where it is due, as Queenslander it burns me to say that NSW last 20mins 3 weeks ago was beyond impressive defence!

Unfortunately I think Papali, Parker and Cronk out hurt so much more than the Morris boys. I have great respect for the Morris bros and Brett is one of the best wingers NSW have had in a long long time, but I just think wingers are pretty dime a dozen, it’s the guys inside that create the overlap, or give the cut out pass that make the difference. After all, Hopoate and Dugan aren’t too shabby either.
The thing for me is that QLD at times struggle in the big man dept and to replace someone as good as Parker is hard. Cronk will be missed but DCE is no slouch, and Thurston and Smith can pick up some of the slack on the offensive end. Thaiday will help, but unfortunately the only way the series stays alive is a massive game from some of the best to pull on a jersey with XXXX on the sleeve. Thurston, Thaiday, Smith, Slater, Inglis, Hodges all need to have a blinder, and Scott and the other big boys need to make a lot of ground for field position.

P.S. Not convinced Hayne can have 2 great games in a row in blue…

Have you got your tickets for Origin history?

Lopez, Lebron, Pierce, Johnson, Williams, wow that’s a starting 5!

Carmelo headed for Miami, NBA headed for disaster?

Being under Phil Jackson has to be enticing…

Carmelo headed for Miami, NBA headed for disaster?

I agree, now that Lebron has rings, you would think he would want to go to one of the most famous cities of the world, to bring a championship to one of the most famous sporting teams of the world. One, which might I add has struggled and choked come playoffs and finals time.

Carmelo headed for Miami, NBA headed for disaster?

I did read something just recently saying that Pippen thinks Lebron would beat Jordan in a one on one game! This is awkward… Ha ha ha ha 😉

Forget the Jordan comparisons and just enjoy LeBron

Sorry, TEAM accomplishments, that was supposed to read…

Forget the Jordan comparisons and just enjoy LeBron

Love the argument of only judging players by accomplishments…
Scallabrine – 1 ring
Durant – 0 rings
Wow, Scalla must be better than KD surely!?!?

Forget the Jordan comparisons and just enjoy LeBron

Awesome article, Lebron by so much it’s just not fair anymore!

Surely they will now give an award for most entertaining pre game warm up dunk!?!?

Can’t wait for the King to have yet another MVP, another finals MVP and a second ring!

All hail!!!

It’s a farce if LeBron James isn’t the unanimous MVP

That’s the one Here De Angels, couldnt for the life of me remember it’s name.

Why Black Caviar will stand alone with Phar Lap

Not doubting Frankel’s talent, but would love to know how unbeaten at 14 starts is “the worlds best horse” and unbeaten at 23 is not!?!? Protected species in terms of when and what she’s run, maybe, but she’s won 13 group 1s, and 7 group 2s, if there were better horses out there she would have been beaten by now. The only time I reall thought she got special treatment was 1 race in Melbourne, she was drawn outside, in a small field, and she started from 1 gate wider than she drew, to keep her away from a serial pest at the barriers, can’t for the life of me remember the horses name either. But it stuck in my mind, as I’m sure most other horses would have been told to start where they were drawn.
I love BC and have a fantastic photo of me holding the Goodwood trophy that she won last year, thanks to one of her fantastic owners! Will cherish that moment forever.

P.S. really hoping she makes it back to Morphettville again this year.

Why Black Caviar will stand alone with Phar Lap

I have heard him coming back to team up with Kyrie is more than just a possibility… Would be awesome to see, imagine how good Kyrie will be in a couple of years after his awesome all star game!

On “the decision”, other than the TV special, is what he did any different to Shaq walking ou on Orlando, or Dwight walking out on LA in 4 months time (we all know it will happen)??? The lakers should trade him for Love while they have the chance! Yes the 5,6,7,8 was arrogant, but let’s face it, by the time he leaves Miami, they may well have 3peat (early call I know) so if he saw out his career there, they could have got 5+!?!?
Still got my white Cavs Lebron 23 in mint condition (with tags), love it, seeing that most of these were burnt in 2010!!!

‘The Decision’ seems so long ago

To not have Kobe in a top 10 is criminal. Agreed, the 3peat was mostly Shaq, but the man is an absolute legend! In my opinion, the 3peat is probably why kobe wants another ring so bad. True, MJ has 6 rings, so Kobe wants 6, but I think deep down he knows that MJ won 6 titles single handily (to a point, it takes all players, but he was dominant) whereas Kobe was a bit of a passenger (to an extent) in 3 of his. I think Kobe feels like he wants to be “the man” to win another title.
Lebron and Kobe are my 2 fave players but I felt Kobe’s block from behind in Houston was a bit of a low move. Nobody had played any D all night and all of a sudden Kobe tried to show he’s still got it. If only he’d been playing that kind of D all season, maybe we wouldn’t have lost so many winnable games! Let’s be honest, if Kobe really wanted to play one on one with Lebron, the king would monster him.
The comparisons of Lebron, Kobe and MJ are so crazy at the moment, and I would like to start by saying I love MJ, I really do….
But seriously, his comment last week was so ridiculous, and I can’t believe a champion of his calibre would make such comments. I challenge anyone who would think that championships maketh the career. Scalabrine – 1 title, Charles Barkley – 0 titles, ergo on MJ logic, Scalabrine was a better player than Chuck and those other poor bastards that never made it to the top of the mountain!?!? I think not. I must admit lebron stayed so composed in his answer, a hotter head would have made some smart comment or challenged MJ to a one on one or something. But in Lebron’s response he still said he would take MJ’s career over any others!

The king is so well placed for another title, surely only injury can prevent a back to back in Miami!?!?

LeBron has that look again

Hayne is slightly above average, at best. I always thought it was Blues supporters that blew his trumpet, got no idea how any NRL supporter, let alone any true Queenslander could even contemplate comparing Hayne to Lockyer and Thurston!?!?
On recent form, Hayne is not in the top 5 fullbacks in the game, let alone top 10 players. The man had 1 great year, and it’s such a huge call to throw out a “legend” status.
You can make excuses that he has been injured, but think about this, if a bloke has missed half a season with injury, why would you look to re-sign him without seeing if he can get past the injuries? Why commit to a bloke who may well break down, and end up playing 20 games across the next 3 years?
I know I wouldn’t spend my money on him…

Jury's still out on Jarryd Hayne

*they have looked much much better WITH him.

Lakers must trade Howard

I think they need to clean house. Get rid of Dwight before he walks and they get nothing for him, they’d be better off taking anything they can get rather than hold out and end up with nothing.
Tough call on whether they keep Nash, they have looked much much better without him. World Peace and Gasol need to go, they’re not providing much of anything lately – World Peace providing a whole lot of fouls, Gasol only providing headlines!
The other thing they need to be smart about is that they need to bring in a good young player, Kobe will be gone soon and without a new young leader, the franchise will fall apart all together.
I heard talks of Amare being put on the table, could be an option. It will definitely be interesting to see what happens to arguably one of the biggest NBA franchises…

Lakers must trade Howard
