Maybe he should think about something bigger then code hopping…. what about cross species hopping, he could make a fortune racing against black Caviar or Frankel?

Sonny Bill still yet to make a decision on 2014

And Bieber!

I agree making it sound like all the problems have been due to JOC is a bit silly. But what did you expect, we have seen things get more eccentric and self serving from the above. Its progressively getting worse I take it next year we will be blaming Genia’s right sock. At least JOC can spot an off side line unlike a certain someone. 🙂

SPIRO: The brilliant Wallabies winners are finally grinners

“I’m responsible for the Wallaby environment and culture and Im not going to tolerate things that are going to be counter-productive”

Wow you said it Ewen…

McKenzie urges O'Connor to stay

This is one of the best posts I have seen this week.

Your reasoning is sound Chan Wee, a player lacking in honor… what better place to send him!

I for one hope we haven’t seen the last of JOC he could be part of the next 2 RWC if his honor is restored.

James O'Connor: Where to next?

I understand the “love” for BA but if he is dropped, who will replace him?

Ewen should ban all media interview by all players except the captain. The ARU needs to hire a team spokes person to deal with the media. All twitter accounts need to be monitored and restricted to not rugby related twits (is that the right word) Facebooks and webpages restricted too.

Its time to put an end to players talking to the media. They can express themselves on the field only.

New look Wallabies prepare for Rosario showdown

Its says a lot coming from you Kev.

Meyer took over a while ago and started with the basics and only now starting to add some flair to the boks. Its a pipe dream to think you can takeover a group of blokes from deferent teams and backgrounds and mould them into a functioning attacking unit.

Changes as you say should have been slow and staggered over the two years to RWC OR he should have stuck to his guns like Cheika did and push till the plan worked no matter the results. Fans would have been patient if they saw something new combined with passion and guts from the players.

I remember in 2011 how the reds just seem to work no matter the situation, forwards and backs, it didn’t matter they all just functioned. How long did it take to get them to that standard??

Is Link really Australia's knight in shining armour?

Defence is all about attitude, Cooper’s last game is evidence of this.

My Question to Scott is this, what are the Wallabies doing in training, clearly not enough scrumming, everyone for the past months has been pointing out the locks are too high and dont push.

Clearly not defence…

Clearly not attack… So what are they doing at training??

Why is EM not getting the best out of the players, this is his honey moon period, he should be ridding his squad of blokes that dont play along. 2 months ago the Brumbies where in a final and the Tahs looked very good. The reds though planless where still in the top.

I just dont see anything that resembles a plan, I dont see commitment in the loose, in defence or in attack. There are no new ideas, the old ideas dont function anymore and it seems like selection is done on what the public thinks instead of what the game plan is.

Can anyone see something I dont?

The problem(s) with the Wallabies defence

You have hit the nail on the head TEC, for me I would not mind seeing the Wallabies lose under a new regime if I can see something new in the making. Be his selection he looks like he is trying to keep his head above water, or control the damage.

It ironic that the Wallabies way of rugby he was supposedly on-boarding is not in sight. Compared to Chek, who told the Tahs “ii dont care if you lose, go out there and play this style” I respect that and by the end of the season it started to pay off for the Tahs.

Right now the Wallabies look rudderless, skill is something you train for from the age of 5, all the players had skill in super rugby. Where has it all gone?

He can keep blaming the players (not good coaching etiquette) but in the end he is responsible for extracting the best out of the players, something their super coaches managed to do a few months back, where has it all gone?

If at the very least I could see improvement I would be happy, lets hope it comes this weekend, let hope it clicks and Ewens “style” comes to fore.

Is Link really Australia's knight in shining armour?

Thanks again for the rev-up Biltong… I really hope we get a good game from the ref. Let the teams play.

No dirty play, no elbows no shoulder charges or no arm tackles… just a good game between two teams.

Its starting to feel like back when Lenox Lewis, Holyfield and Tyson where all going for titles, we never got a decent fight just blokes trying not to lose by any means possible.

Are the Springboks ready for rugby's greatest rivalry?

Its tough being a Wallaby supporter… its harder being a Boks supporter…. Its depressing when you support both.

Will the Boks ever rise above the current state? Or will they always be the “not reaching potential” group, be it politics, useless coaches or bullyboy tags, will I see it in my life time?

My Wallabies…. where to start….

The Rugby Championship progress report card

God please no Johnno, if Deans was kept and I had to endure one more week of Kev, Fos and the rest of the QL group complain about Deans I would shoot myself. If only to shut the people up who wanted him gone, good or bad.

The Rugby Championship progress report card

Never thought I would see that line

SPIRO: I see some light in the Wallabies' dark tunnel

Yes let’s not praise Jake White, he has been very lucky the last 32 games to get the brumbies from the bottom to a final in two seasons. he has done nothing special with zero super rugby experience. bulls did have the upper hand second half brumbies should have forgotten the long season, long flight, 6 day turn around and altitude. If they did not dominate 100% of the time then they are not worthy.

SPIRO: Brumbies brilliant in the ruining of the Bulls

I got the order thanks Kev!

This really is Quade Cooper's last chance

Wow AdamS “JOC is the 12 who can make Coopers plays shine” I recall you saying JOC is a worse defender then QC imagine a backline with QC 10 and JOC 12, it will be a floggin every game wont it?

This really is Quade Cooper's last chance

Already getting your Deans bash ready for when he wins the Bledisloe Kev? 🙂

This really is Quade Cooper's last chance

Sand groper, Deans will select White – Toomua combo, they put in a solid final 80 minutes beating the Lions 23-3. Unfortunately this great news will be over shadowed by the breaking news that a stash of Laptop was traced to McKenzie’s house, where the cops found QC in a tradesmen outfit dancing to YMCA while Ewen (ball gagged and cuffed to the bed) was watching the spectacle like it was the Super 15 final.

And then you woke up and realize you were still dreaming and the TEAM (not QC) are working together to over come the Lions on a exciting tour where the country was behind team and coach…. and then you woke up again finding that everything is a dream and Morpheus ends up showing you how to do martial arts and dodge bullets.

This really is Quade Cooper's last chance

I am no Deans fan, I think his style of rugby does not fit Australia but I am not going to brand the man useless because of a couple selection mistakes. Clive Woodward, Jake White and MacQueen to name few have all admitted to making selection mistakes in their careers… I am sure even McKenzie has.

McKenzie’s downfall is his reliance on Cooper, Coopers downfall is McKenzie’s reliance on him. Its failed the Reds this year and its become one dimensional and figured out by the other teams. Its simply, adapt the force defense system and take the Reds game plan out. There is no plan B and that is evidence that Ewen is not upto international level.

This really is Quade Cooper's last chance

Kev you cant blame the amount of injuries Dean’s had to deal with in the last couple of years on him. He has more players to pick from now then ever before. If QC does not get selected he will become an example for younger players over the next 10 years that you never put your own agenda before the national team. Its an expensive lesson for QC but a great example too younger x-factor twitter type players.

As much as you dont want to admit it Kev Australia does not have the stocks that some other nations have, combine that with injuries to an entire starting team and you have an idea how weak the actual team has been. Combine that with no continuity (essential in rugby) due to the amount of injuries AND toxic environments and you have to admit Dean hasn’t done too bad.

This really is Quade Cooper's last chance

Here is the problem, Australia does not have a great 10. Cooper though talented is no Spenser, you simply have to listen to them speak to know who has more grey stuff between the ears. Cooper molded himself into a Spenser like player, in itself flawed.

JOC is a very talented player, very smart, very brave but not yet a 10, he is still young and has not had a settled position since he started 4 years ago.

Beale…. also flawed in more ways then one.

Closest thing to a Larkham style players is Toomua and I think by next year this time this old argument will be over and QC will be playing RL post 2014. Once McKenzie leaves the reds wont be as good as they have been. Deans will win the Lions series and continue onto 2015 RWC. With nothing keeping CQ in Union he will follow the cash.

This argument has been raging for too long now. QC fans blasting any other player as worthless and QC haters blasting QC.

After what I have seen from the reds this year, I hope for the Wallabies sake that neither McKenzie nor Cooper ever players for the Wallabies again.

Give me Cheika and Toomua any day of the week.

Robbie Deans is a good coach, not great. He has done wonders with the limited stock he has had, add to that some reds players in the Wallabies pushing their Mckenzie agendas.

This really is Quade Cooper's last chance

18 times!!! Wow if I was the coach they will be spending hours each week working on body position, handling and finishing. That’s an unusually high stat, are you saying that the TMO’s are out to get the reds, or they simply cannot finish?

Sorry Kev Genia, I have auto complete on and it keeps changing it.

O'Connor to face Cooper in Super battle

Kev some of the dropped balls by Cooper was not the faults of the forwards. But I agree the Wallaby pack does not always measure up to the big teams.

O'Connor to face Cooper in Super battle

I have been saying this for ages, Toomua is a complete player. Wings have x-factor, 10’s are consistent with the ability to cut a line open himself or with his passing game, defend well and own a good boot.

For my mind id risk Toomua for a start against the Lions, its not as bad as risking JOC passing game or Coopers defense or fear of contact.

O'Connor to face Cooper in Super battle

Jutsie I wont call the reds pack soft but the one difference in Rebels forwards over the last month has been Saffy starting, I have no idea why they have not started him all season, he is a monster on defense and knows how to disrupt a break down. His work rate is awesome and he pushes the other forwards. His defense has allowed Higgers time with ball in hand especially on counter attack.

Higgers and Saffy are lifting the rebels forwards. Saffy is very fast and has some of the best defensive stats in the comp.

Pitty it took the coaches so long to start him.

O'Connor to face Cooper in Super battle

It will be interesting but if the Rebels forwards get owned people will blame JOC, where as if The reds forwards don’t do their job it wont be Coopers fault.

You cannot look at them individually.

Hagerty has looked good over the last few games because the forwards have pulled the finger out. So if they can keep giving slow-mo Phipps good ball JOC will be better then previous games.

Cooper has more ability in his passing game (especially under pressure) but wont attack the line. They are simply not the same style players. BUT with space and time both are dangerous.
