Peter Peters is a joke and a disgrace. He may be mates with all the players and Des Has-Been Hasler but the facts are the facts.

He was the Media Manager and during a time when Glenn Stewart and the Manly Club had a massive proportion of not only the sport but general news media spotlight, he showed his true colours – and that is the fact he is a poor media manager.

He probably only had a job as the ‘boys club’ inside Manly thought he was a good bloke. Clearly he is an ordinary media manager and in my opinion absolutely 100% deserved to be sacked, especially the way he kept saying those comments to the female journo like it was a joke. Well the jokes on your Peters you Pelican!!

For a great player like Ben Kennedy and an immortal like Bob Fulton to carry on like this shows why David Perry was hired. To get rid of old boys club.

If Peter Pelican Peters is so integral to the Club why isn’t he Football Manager or why isn’t he holding some other position??

Fallout from Peters sacking widens

I think it is awesome to see Aussie Rules being played back at the Adelaide Oval. Bring back the glory days when the Oval was packed full of true football fans.

The move to Football Park nearly fatally wounded football in SA.

It is good to finally see the SACA and SANFL back in bed together for the good of the game.

Adelaide Oval the saviour of Port, South Aussie footy?

Yawn – Another Manly lover not living in a fantasy world and believing everyone world Des Has-Been Hasler says!!

Cynicism of Bellamy and Hasler pays off

@ Jeff – You’re a pelican mate. David Gallop administers the sport but he doesn’t dish out the punishment. I agree with you that Brett Stewart should be looking at a strong penalty but blame the Match Review Committee and not David Gallop.

Cynicism of Bellamy and Hasler pays off

@Andy – You’ll see who has verbal diarrhoea when Glenn Stewart is rubbed out tonight for 4 weeks…..

It won’t be me – it will be every Manly clown out there whinging again at the conspiracy against them.

Manly and Des Hasler don't get it

David Gallop has shown time and time again to be the best sports administrator in Australia. He handled the Brett Stewart saga with dignity in 2009 and was tough but fair during the Melbourne Storm salary cap scandal.

This week again David Gallop has acted perfectly by condemning the actions of the all the players involved and apologised to parents, kids, supporters and sponsors. He also has left the judiciary to run its course.

What have the Manly boofheads done this week? They’ve come out saying it was the best day of their lives…..

You tell me who is more professional??

Cynicism of Bellamy and Hasler pays off

It’s clear to see who are the Manly fans on here.

I know Des Hasler was a good player but he is on a one-man crusade against David Gallop and the NRL. He’ll never win that battle and should stop trying. If it is indeed a coaching technique as suggested, then I’m sick of it and I’m sure sooner rather than later the Manly Board will be too.

Manly and Des Hasler don't get it

Regardless of whether you like or dislike Collingwood Eddie McGuire he has got a good point here. Regardless of whether you can think of other examples of players or other clubs doing the same thing, Eddie McGuire has a good point here.

The point is that the AFL rule needs to be tested so everyone knows what the acceptable benchmark is. It is like new pieces of legislation. No one practically knows how to apply them until they are tested.

The three keywords in the rule are: shall not enter into any CONTRACTS, AGREEMENTS or UNDERSTANDINGS with a player that is included on the list of another club…….surely what Phil Davis and others last year have done qualifies as an agreement or understanding…….

Eddie is spot on!! Let’s test the rule and then we can all shut up about it!! You can see more of my comments at:www.facebook.com/pages/The-Mad-Chatter/14597098110

Eddie McGuire unleashes on 'cheating' GWS

Spot on Cliff. Could not agree with you more. Exactly the same points I was making. The FFA are a joke and I agree the Government should look at their funding and strucuture. Hear hear!!

FFA forgoes opportunity to take a stand. Again.

I 100% agree that the FFA missed a golden opportunity to contribute to a FIFA clean up. How could they support a bloke who was at the helm during the time the organisation became dirty. Blatter himself admitted after winning the one horse race election earlier this week that he will start to clean up FIFA.

If he needs to clean it up, by default it must have been dirty and the Aussies just went and backed a bloke who admitted things were not perfect.

A bad call by the FFA and they should be explaining to the Australian tax payers after spending $45 million of our money on a bid that was affect by alleged corruption why they backed the same man for another four years that was leading FIFA during a very controversial time.

Not happy Frank and Ben Buckley – not happy at all.

FFA forgoes opportunity to take a stand. Again.

There is no doubting that the AFL’s decision to lob massive amounts of cash at NRL players Karmichael Hunt and Israel Folau will continue to divide the Australian sporting community. This divide will only stop when it becomes clear whether these blokes are worth the price the AFL paid.

They are talented rugby league players but are they good enough to make it at the elite level in another sport???

Time will tell all…………….

The AFL thinks buying these players is a really big deal. The reality is that as soon as these players leave the NRL another player will take their spot and it will be on with the game.

Remember when Sonny Bill Williams left rugby league for rugby union in France? The News Limited newspapers would not let it go and it felt like league was over……Well since then there has been great Origin series, great grand finals and great moments. The game clearly went on.

If you want my opinion, it isn’t the AFL that will ruin rugby league. It’s rugby league players and their stupidity.

Think about the Cronulla Sharks fiasco, the Manly pre-season launch disaster, the Newcastle drug bust……..not the AFL’s fault on these recent occassions!!!

Cheers
