Hodge made a mess of the high ball last night – one to forget for him, but this is thankfully not a regular occurrence for him.

Tom Banks' unlucky break opens the James O'Connor door

I like the premise of this article thanks. We have to expect that mistakes will be made by refs who are human. Watching 15 different angles of Swintons tackle last night was ridiculous.

Refereeing is ruining rugby

Foley hasn’t had a running game since RWC 2015

CONFIRMED: Quade Cooper returns for Wallabies at No.10, Rodda starts, two debutants

I think you’re right. It looked like he extended his leg after he took the ball. Not saying it was intentional but gee it looked bad. He’ll get a few weeks for it – it’s not a good look for kids to be copying

Not trying hard enough mate 😂

Looked like he actually chose to life his leg up??

Yeah he will get some time but I don’t think it’ll be eight weeks

If the review is “an organisational review in light of cultural sensitivity” then it is not a branding exercise is it

All Whites nickname under review as NZ Football reflects on 'cultural inclusivity'

So the All Blacks is a spelling error? Is that a fact?

All Whites nickname under review as NZ Football reflects on 'cultural inclusivity'

This is not simply the review of a brand, it is looking to change the name based purely on a perceived racism impact. If that’s the case then the all Blacks should also change the name

You’re a hard marker I think Peter.

VOTE: Wallabies player ratings from Bledisloe 2

Tight five were pretty good in the first half. Although not sure about Swain – he gets a 4. Valentini was very good – best game in Gold, so deserves a 7. Hooper was great – 8. Tate had some good periods mixed with poor – 5. Noah was ok – not great. Toomua was just terrible – last game in gold. Hunter was OK, the wings were quite good and Banks was just ok.

I don’t think Petaia was bad. He was just non-existent. with only 15 players on the field, you can’t have one of them being non-existent. I honestly didn’t see him until late in the 2nd half. Based on that he would get a 2.

Thanks heaps for your response. That’s what I thought too. A terrible error that changes the outcome of the series. Unacceptable at this level

CLEARED! Koroibete set to face All Blacks as judiciary overthrows 'travesty'

So does this mean Peter that he should’ve been able to come back on the field if it was only a yellow card, or stayed on if it was only a penalty? If that’s the case then it certainly is a game changing error by the ref

He was holding his nose which was nowhere near the impact zone – an absolute blight on the game that needs to be eliminated

'That wasn't about rugby, it was about heart': Brave 14-man Wallabies' stirring win

His captaincy on the red card was great – asking the ref about the need for the French #8 to have a HIA given that MK got a red for a hit to the head. That’s not something Hooper would’ve done a few years ago

I would like the IRB to make an example of the French #8 for his pathetic diving.

Getting a red in the 5th minute is a lot more of a penalty than if you get one in the 75th minute, so maybe that trial makes sense?

Hodges tackle and securing the ball in about the 76th minute was outstanding!

Gordon was mediocre at best. Takes way too long at the ruck where by comparison Tate added a bit of spark

I have actually found of late Don that the people commenting on ABC news are the worst of keyboard warriors I have seen. Heaven forbid that one even questions a different viewpoint from others on the ABC sites. The outrage on its social media sites is bullying at its worst.

The Wrap: A great new broadcast deal for rugby? Depends on who’s telling the story

As the only person who is supposed to talk to the ref I feel Hooper was doing his role here. How he can do it in a respectful way is the key. I didn’t think there was an issue with what Hooper said as he tried to put doubt into the mind of the ref. That’s Hoopers job – to try and get a little bit of favour for the WBs. No harm, play on

Michael Hooper needs to show some respect

I think Swinton’s was worse actually. He didn’t appear to use his arms at all, unlike Ofa who I think was actually a bit unlucky (although still a red card).
