I thought the lack of consistency was glaring. At one point the Bulldogs player was tackled as he gained possession..holding the ball! Then a minute later up the other end a North player was tackled, spun, and basically gave the ball to his team mate with one hand…play on!
I wouldn’t say it was rougher, from my view it was just very cluttered, the North pressure was amazing.

After having watched the game last night, it may be that bizarre free kicks are what the umpires are aiming for. I’ve never spent so much time complaining about umpiring, it’s usually not my thing. But Bannister and Pannell were god-awful with some of those holding the ball decisions.

Now that’s a bold tip. I’m all for the GWS upset, but that line looks a bit extreme. Still, the Hawks have been basically slithering over the line each week, it will be interesting to see the young Giants show up with their shoulders back, and running all day. It’s certainly worth a few bob.
The Essendon/Blues game is basically betting poison. But with their inclusions this week they should certainly put a better fight than they did last week.
