I agree with some of the comments.. Especailly the ones concerning Australia and NZ…
I reckon personally we need to grow rugby more througout Australia before going in too deep.

Samoa haven’t done well in the WORLD CUP where as compared to Tonga, which did very well,
If you think about it Tonga were only 6 points aways [V Canada] from amking it to the quater finals..
Anyway back to the subject.
To add more Island nations is like brining in twigs when the scout ordered logs.
Why bring in more island nations when we all know nothing will happen…
Samoa can beat Argentina? Impressive, they can also beat Australia.
Tonga can beat France and have beaaten Australia [Old schol rugby, 70’s]
What the IRB want is consistency not only that they want expansion.
Do you guys honestly think that IRB would care if Argentina got beaten by Japan one day?
No because they are a tier one nation and IRB will do everything they can to keep them there, even if it means
killing off a few Island nations.
Pacific Islands rugby is not as ‘important’ as we would think of it to be.

People here talking about stock and marketing and money. We ALL know the Pacific region is not wealthy in general and even when it comes to sports. Rugby is one of them, hence the reaon why you have the Tuilagis playing overseas..
Pacific Islands need to build a better domestic circuit before it can even be thought of brining any one of them to the competition.
What we should really be asking is, ‘Can we have a team from Samoa represent in the Super 15? Or even five more teams aka Super 20.. Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, Niue and Cook Islands..
In my eyes I don’t think the IRB are ready to move us POLYNESIANS anywhere in a international sense bar RWC, we are like the pawns in chess.
We are easy to sacrafice, first in defence but so many people need us..

Yes rugby league is not that big.. BUT it is around AND GROWING HUGELY. I know many people that have played RL once and have made a swith from Footy…
Adelaide DOES need a league team. The population of growing islanders and also maoris here is the first pressure point secondly Adelaide needs another sport for us to be into. NRL would be the best thing since PORT ADELAIDE, 36ERS, CROWS ETC.. WE DO LOVE OUR SPORT… SHAME ON YOU
