The Elephant in the room that is always ignored by the AFL propaganda machine: Iron Chef (repeats) >>>>>>>>Swans >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> (100% in the money)>>>>>>>>>>GWS We are talking Sydney viewership around 85-90k on FTA, which is pathetic. Even when it was not shown on Main Event at the same time, the numbers are still the same. In terms of how many of these viewers are in the Western Suburbs, if you approximated around 1/3 (very generous), or 30k, that is statistically irrelevant in the vast numbers that live out that way. Let’s face it, AFL has been shown on TV here for 30 years+, it is not as if people will say: 'Wow, this is a game I have never seen before'. People have voted with their feet already, and no amount of money will change that. Just ask the NFL how they went pushing their game into Europe, and they have far deeper pockets than the AFL. As to the Waratahs, they have a much firmer footing, but interest will drop away once the NRL kicks off in two weeks time. Always has, always will.

Another team in Western Sydney?

Lets face it, the AFL is excellent when it comes to throwing up the 'Education Smokescreen', so that they can wash their hands when things inevitably go wrong. Then we have the AFL media, and hacks like the DiFabrizio rolling out the company line like clockwork. That Iraqi Information Minister had nothing on these guys.

With AFL scandals, don’t hate the player or the game

There you go, more AFL hubris..........'One because the theory only applies to exciting football codes. Two because die hard boring league supporters are not part of the demographic the AFL is attempting to reach. Nobody is trying to convert you.' What gets you off thinking that AFL is more exciting? Is that because it is more exciting to you? So even if we take your myopic view, then all of those Victorians who don't follow AFL will be mesmerized by League when they watch SOO next week? Good luck to the GWS, they will need it (as well as all the money that the AFL can afford to pour down its throat).
