Nomination process

If you want to submit an article for consideration, and it’s already running on The Roar, simply click on the link at the bottom of the article and you’ll be taken to a form to input some basic information.

Entries from other blogs is ok. If the article you want to submit is running on another Australian blog, that’s fine. Just copy the URL and enter it into the Nominate an Article page on The Roar.

Each week, we’ll select the best three entries and run them on the Finalists page, where you’ll be able to vote for your favourite article from that week. You can only vote once. At the end of the submission period on September 20, a shortlist of twenty finalists will be posted on the Finalists page.

This shortlist will be voted on by our audience. Your votes will determine which five get passed on to our judging panel, who will then decide which is the winning Armchair Sports Writer Award article for 2008.

The winner will be offered a regular paid column on The Roar.
