England Rugby Union

Having contested the world’s first Rugby international against Scotland back in 1871, England are a traditional superpower in world Rugby who currently sit in sixth position in the IRB world rankings. England contest the Six Nations which they have won 25 times including 12 Grand Slams. Their World Cup record in recent tournaments has been outstanding, winning their maiden Webb Ellis trophy in 2003 against the Wallabies in Australia. The Red Roses nearly defended their title in France 2007, eventually falling short against the Springboks.
