But while our Aussie girls were competing for their country, Channel Seven’s Olympic broadcast was dumped for the AFL.

The Boomers have copped a bit of flack lately for their performance on the court. Apparently nobody told the likes of Mills, Barlow or Bogut, all combining well in the opening minutes of the game against the European Champions, Russia.

Up until Wednesday morning, there had been sixteen World Records set at the Beijing Water Cube. This was on the fifth day of swimming. At Athens four years ago, there were eight World Records set in the entire swim event, and five of these were in relays.
