The Armchair Sports Writer Award is a celebration of the articulate and informed reader-generated articles that have become a feature of The Roar. It’s open to all passionate sports lovers who have an opinion on sports and are not afraid to express it.
Judged by the best in the game
Articles that make it through to the final selection will be judged by a stellar panel of sports writers including The Roar’s own, Spiro Zavos, Peter Fitzsimons, Philip Derriman and Liz Ellis. [more]
The grand prize for the best new sports writer in Australia is a regular paid column on The Roar.
You can write an article yourself and publish it on The Roar or submit one from someone else that you’ve read.
