There have been so many unforgettable sporting moments over the years. We’re talking Warney’s ball to Gatting, Eddie The Eagle’s spectacularly unspectacular ski jumps, Eric Grothe’s tackle-busting try against the Bulldogs: the list goes on and on.
Luckily, many of them have been captured for posterity on video. We want to compile a series of your favourite sporting moments that have ended up as clips on the YouTube video site. Yes, the joys of technology!
We’ve got the ball rolling with a few of The Roar’s favourites. But we’d love to hear about some of your favourite sporting moments, so tell us why you think it was so special and leave a link with your comment to the corresponding YouTube video. We’ll then add the clip to the thread.

1998 World Cup - a young Michael Owen's goal against Argentina (in my opinion the best goal in football history, despite my hating the Poms too!) And Martin "Golden Tonsils" Tyler's call as relayed by SBS was priceless.... [with voice rising to a roar/scream in his unmistakeable English accent as the crowd goes absolutely nuts] "owen... Owen... OWEN.... and the boy wonder... has scored a goal.... that will be played over, and over, and over, and over... in World Cup history...." Makes the hair stand on the back of my neck just to think about it...
