Your kidding if you think Watmough isn't going to make it. He carved them up last year.

1. Hayne 2. B.Morris 3. Jennings 4. Cooper (only him or Beau Scott capable of holding Inglis at bay and Cooper has a head over Scott with a little more attacking flair) 5. J.Morris 6. Bird 7. Pearce (standout NSW halfback in opening rounds) 8. Weyman 9. Ennis (Origin built) (GK) 10. Tolman (fantastic 09 and continued form in 2010, deserves a spot) 11. Watmough 12. Creagh 13. O'Donnell 14. Carney 15. Lewis/Gallen 16. White 17. Poore/Laffranchi the only issue with this team is the captaincy, having no club captain is hard and with youth in the key positions it makes it difficult and any other options such as Bird and Watmough have had off-field dramas. The possibilites in this eam would come down to O'Donnell whom i think would be the front runner in the group, Pearce but there is an age and experience problem or Ennis but he is battling for his spot as it is, for mine its O'Donnell but who knows.

The people picking Gidley amaze me. He hasn't even played a game yet this season. Why would you risk him in one of the most important games of the year? if NSW gets beaten in games one it will 5 in a row!

I just can't stand him, he is fast and it looks great, but he always tries to over perform and against NRL teams that is ok because you have some players that aren't as disciplined, but at rep level these guys are drilled, perform by all means, but don't screw up (e.g. World Cup Final).

Also.. Blake Ferguson could be a bolter, perhaps if hayne gets fullback ferguson could get wing if he keeps his form

What I think.. 1. Dugan (most say hayne but dugan natural fullback, leads tackle breaks by a long mile, deserves a chance) 2. Hayne 3. Jennings 4. J morris 5. B morris 6. Campese 7. Pearce 8. Perry 9. Farah (c) 10. Cross 11. Creagh 12. Gallen 13. Bird 14. Carney (would not be wasted here come on explosive, much like wing last year) 15. Watmough 16. Weyman 17. Tolman

The QLD team I would select looks like this: Slater, Tuqiri, Inglis, Tonga, Tate, Thurston, Cronk, Hannant, Smith, Civoniceva, Harrison, Thaiday, Myles reserves: Bolton, Shillington, Taylor, Prince - Matt Gillett from the Broncos and Aiden Guerra from the Roosters would be strong contenders for my team if their form builds as well. The team I think they will pick is: Slater, Boyd, Inglis, Tonga, Tate, Lockyer, Thurston, Price, Smith, Civoniceva, Harrison, Thaiday, Myles reserves: Hannant, Crocker, Shillington, Cronk Either way we'll have a strong side, but I just think time has moved on for Price, Crocker and sadly, Lockyer. I also think Tuqiri has to be selected, but QLD will stick with Boyd (who is playing well it must be said). For NSW, here's my team: Hayne, Morris, Morris, Cooper, Jennings, Barrett, Pearce/Kimmorley, Galloway, Ennis, Weyman, Watmough, Hindmarsh (c), O'Donnell reserves: Gidley, White, Lewis, Perry. Hindmarsh was a lock for me a while ago but his form has been poor, while I had ruled Gallen out but was very impressed with him on the weekend. Those two could swap...

Watmough and O'Donnell were not there for the most of the last 4 years; O'Donnell has only played 2 games whilst Watmough has played 3 - in 2005 and 2009. Qld's wins have come off having a brilliant spine (1,6,7 and 9) and not their back rowers.

So you'd pick Gallen, Watmough, Tupou, O'Donnell, Bird or any of the other usual suspects who've been part of losing sides for the last 4 years? Maybe Willie Mason? Creagh so he can fairy tap someone and run away again? These blokes who are supposedly up for origin because they've got aggression don't seem to be making a dent in the workhorse pack of Queensland. The cane toads have got it right by only having one or two blokes with a bit of mongrel, and using them sparingly. Crocker, Webb, Costigan are good to fire things up a bit, but they're doing it behind the unfaltering work of Johnson, Harrison, Civoniceva, Thaiday, Myles, Hannant, Stagg, Price. The common thread through the Queensland pack is stamina and composure, not aggression.

Slater, the worst defender? You've got to be kidding. He's the most complete player going around. You must dislike him so much you never watch him play.

Yeah just how NSW absolutely smashed Queensland when they picked players like Mogg, Johnson and Harrison.

I cant believe some of the selections. Do any of you blokes watch the bloody game? Unbelieveable! Yeah, I bet Qls would be packing it with a Hindmarsh, Tongue and Liam Fulton back row. Has Learoyd lahrs even played a game this year? Fair dinkum. Blokes like Fensom, Young and Sutton over Gallen. Geez boys, get real.

If Folau is back he is a shoe in and Tate would have to be left out of my team. Folau has been right centre for the Broncos though so he would slot in opposite GI with Tonga on the left wing. One of the centres is going to have to shift one wider to fit them all in cause we don't have to many wingers (Vidot is still to young). At first I thought the "Tuqiri for Origin" talk was a bit premature but he is looking better and better each week.

1. Hayne 2. B Morris 3. Tahu (we need someone tough and strong to mark Inglis. Could put Lawrence or Jennings here, but really we need some grunt in the team) 4. Cooper 5. J Morris 6. Campese (some want Carney in the halves. sure, you could put him there, if you want to lose 3-0) 7. Pearce (toss up between Pearce and Kimmorley, but we need some youth for the future) 8. Weyman 9. Farah 10. Poore 11. Hindmarsh (c) 12. Watmough 13. Gallen 14. Gidley 15. Galloway 16. Creagh 17. White
