Sydney Olympic fans hoping for better form

By Alex Poulos / Roar Rookie

This Sunday at Belmore Sports Ground, Sydney Olympic take on West Sydney Berries at 3pm. The “Greek” Derby is going to be a hot affair, with much pressure being placed on the young Sydney Olympic side after a terrible start to the season.

The home fans will expect nothing more than the 3 points.

The Berries have had an indifferent start to the season, with their latest result being a 1-1 draw away to Rockdale City, thanks to a 90th minute screamer from John Tsironis, who has been unfairly benched so far this season.

Hot from his goal, and Tsironis looking to start the match, the ex-Olympic player together with Kosta Lagoudakis will be looking to win the game for the Berries.

A healthy crowd is expected, with many Olympic fans angry with the results so far this season. But the hardcores are anxious to see the luck of Olympic change and hopefully looking forward to seeing a new coach on the bench, too.

The Crowd Says:

olympic is a community based club and a foundatio member of the game in australia, no one told manchester united to f off and you cant do it to olympic, the glory days for this historic club are coming back, with the a-league in turmoil and a failing model the ffa will have no choice but to let a club like olympic back in the top flight, people saying there is no place for a club like olympic in the national competition obviously dont understand the sport and the sport in this country, the olympic revolution is on and i love it!

A lot of people seem to be going for the "first time". Like it or not boys - but the days of ethnic clubs are gone.
