Central Coast support Manly not the Bears

Looks like a Manly supporter is worried about his own club. However, this bloke claims to be a Central Coast local NOT wanting his area to have their own side or/and give the local juniors their own side to represent in the NRL. Any person living in a the local area would want their own side, instead of supporting another NRLclub. A Manly person who is bitter and twisted against the Bears. I don't dislike Manly but I have no respect for Peter Peters and some of their small minded fans like this one. Mate, being from Darwin I couldn't care when I was a kid if the team colours were pink, gray and white and we were called the NT Galahs as I would of at least my own team to represent. But the NT colours would be orche, black and white. As for a name - maybe NT Dreamtime. Go the CC Bears. Can't wait to travel up there and watch games. Be a great weekend away. Wow, Col, settle down, take a chill pill mate. Not all Manly fans feel the same way as the writer. It'd be great to have the Bears back in the comp. But really, it's a LONG time since Manly have been a silver platter side, or a silvertail team. That a club with one of the skinniest budgets in the NRL are the only Sydney club to win a premiership in the last 5 years speaks a lot for those that worked extremely hard to bring the club back from the brink of extinction.

Looking at the crap crowds the NRL is dishing out i think the Shark's,Roosters,Warriors,Storm,Penrith and Raiders need to leave the comp and let west's and Balmain alongside St.George and Illawarra become seperate clubs again as they seem to get good/decent support at both there home grounds and and along with there away support.

Yeah I know I couldn't help myself Brett.you know there will always be a bite when expansion is mentioned.I think you'll find that expansion has been one of the major subjects over the past year or two on the roar.and most concerning the central coast bears.and readmission.you have to educate some people, still no matter how many times you explain it .some still just don't get it.so when something like this fiction gets put up you have to reply with facts and the facts are if is not the CCBears there won't be a team on the coast.and that's why you have some with their own vestige interests coming out disputing it.but as I have said there are far more positives for the CentealCoast Bears then the one or 2 opposed.and probably the same guy at that. ;-)

How does this ill informed rant qualify as an article? I agree with the many posts that completely demolish this feeble attempt at an article.

If anything having the Central Coast Bears will not only renew the Bears v Sea Eagles rivalry but create the Bears v Knights rivalry also, can't wait.

Adam nobody else is putting an NRL bid together for a Central Coast side, there is no money on the Central Coast to sustain an NRL side on its own, sure the Central Coast Dolphins, Stingrays, Pelicans, Hammerheads, Fin Chops sound great but no other bids are in the works. I've never followed the North Sydney Bears but I believe that they would be a great mix for us here on the Central Coast plus being a foundation club is also a bonus.

A handful of negatives to thousands of positives for the CC Bears yeah we can live with that.Go The Mighty Bears.and Brett McKay come on mate come clean you started this didn't you as a gee up. :-)

Sorry Mate I know a lot... There werew many teams ... no one asked Norths to play at Gosford .. they shouild have stayed at NSO ... if they had they would still be in the comp... they were advised to play one more year at NSO and said no ... Noths will add SFA to the TV ratings and that is what is important ... the CC are already one of the highest areas for RL TV Ratings... and don't make me laugh the good old boys at Mosman are now going to get nehind Norths because they play at gosford ... sooooooooooooo funny ... Now go to the North Shore ... been their lately Chatswood and areas around ... massive change in population demographics ...huge Asian population... Its all hype the CCB will draw a reasonable crowd ... but add nothing to the ratings and have no more right to be in the comp than the teams that merged together or were kicked out and RL needs to fight the AFL in areas it could loose not in one of its heartland areas.

Its a step backwards. Big multi regional clubs that can compete with clubs like the Broncos and Storm are the future. Leave St George Illawarra as they are... just get rid of Cronulla.
