Wales finally get a win 24-6 over Scotland

By The Crowd / Roar Guru

After eight games and almost a year, Wales finally got that winning feeling back on Saturday with a dour 24-6 victory over Scotland in the Six Nations.

The Welsh last won against Italy in March 2010 before going on to lose to South Africa (2), New Zealand (3), Australia and England but they managed a draw with Fiji.

Two Shane Williams tries and 14 points from the boot of James Hook outpointed two Dan Parks penalties, leaving the home side winless after two outings this season after they lost 34-21 to France last weekend.

Glad to see Shane Williams scoring a try or two, he adds so much to the Wales backilne and at nearly 33 is still playing great rugby. My only hope is that he doesn't get injured before the WC. I wonder how good he would have been if he had remained at halfback where he started his rugby career. He even makes distance when in tight carrying opposition players with him when he has to pick and drive. He is only a little bloke but he generates some power.

Good match by Wales who finally had a bit of go forward and attacked with a bit of venom rather than cruising laterally. Two sin binnings took the steam and structure out of their game for a long while but great defence and a deserved win, there is some hope at last.....
