Canada a strange path to Italy for Akcelrod

By allsoccer / Roar Rookie

According to OleOle, French striker Gregoire Akcelrod has reportedly caught the attention of Serie B outfit Brescia this summer.

The former Cmwbran Town striker dropped down to the Canadian Soccer League last winter after being released by Paris Saint Germain, but he quickly restored his reputation with a string of impressive performances for the Mississauga Eagles.

Brescia and Empoli are heading the list of potential suitors who are keeping tabs on Akcelrod, who has two years left on his contract.

Akcelrod failed to make a first-team appearance for Paris Saint Germain before joining Mississauga in 2011.

He penned a two-and-a-half-year contract in March, but could now be on his way to Italy less than five months into that agreement.

I think you posted this article on the wrong website. How about Kewell, not going to Sydney, he is going to Melbourne to play for Australia's BIGGEST soccer club. Stick it in your pipe and smoke that Sydney!
