Carlton unbalanced around the ground

With the likes of Judd, Murphy, Waite and Gibbs, Carlton’s midfield is one of, if not the best, midfield in the AFL at this stage. The trouble is that the Blues seem to be lacking talent when it comes to other parts of the ground.

Without Fevola, the Blues have struggled to find a key forward, relying on the likes of Walker and Betts to kick goals, and the backline needs considerable improvement.

Stats show that premiership sides are the sides with balance around the field and mainly, a good, solid defense.

While Carlton are relying on their midfield, crammed with superstars, they are lacking skill in their forward and backline which will continue to be a problem.

If the Blues want any chance of a premiership they need to trade or draft for a good, solid forward and defender instead of trying to cram more guns into their midfield.

If the Blues fix this and obtain some forwards and defenders, with the midfield they currently have, the team will be balanced and I can guarantee they will win premiership after premiership.

But until they upgrade the rest of the ground, they will continue to lose in early finals every year.
