Don't often agree with Eddie, but Sheedy will ruin the AFL for his own gain. He is a horrible self centred person.

I thought Eddie was the AFL. Hasn't he got an Ange Demetriou hand puppet that he uses? And we all know that Collingwood is bigger than the AFL - if they don't like the rules, they just get out the hand puppet and change them. So if Ed reckons it'll be war - it probably will be. After all, he's running the show!

Eddie you are a bully, you bullied Malthouse (fired but cant be employed by another club), bullying GWS (the new boys and an easy target) and will no doubt bully scotty until he re-signs, I hope GWS get him it'll p*ss off the pies but will put a smile on me and the other 90% who despise the club. Eddie has got more frontthan Myer, manipulates media to get rid of cost of living allow in Syd, has Malthouse tank for two years to top up on star players(02, 04) after finishing runner up two yrs in a row. Gets Jolly from Sydney and Ball from Saints to get into premiership window, has several NSW Scholarship boys, the list goes on! Eddie you treat game like a buisness when it suits you and then get the collingwood cave dwellers fired up with no regard to fair play, (even thu Cwood yet to lose a player to either GC or GWS). Eddie you are a hypocrate and an egotist!

Interesting about Eddie, he has made some very hard descisions concerning Collingwood, and IMO it would be fair to say that Collingwood has benifited more from Eddiie than the other way around. He moved Collingwood from Vic Park, where they had played for over 100 years, he has turned them into a financial and membership powerhouse, how many men would have moved Collingwood from Vic Park, how many people stood in the way and said "over my dead body, Collingwood will never move". Collingwood may be bigger and stronger, but is it a football club or a brand name now ?, would Jock Mchale, Tommy Sherrin, John Wren and thousands of other REAL Collingwood people now passed on, look down with admiration for what he has done , or look down in horror ? ........ IMO they would generally look down in admiration, from my limited understanding of the club it takes a pretty patient and inclusive sort of person to get Collingwood and it's many factions and coteries to work together. Eddie has real passion for his club, thats what polarises people.

Licuria is a Collingwood boy through and through, recruited from Keon park, he was just returning from Sydney to his roots. Eddie is a showman, no doubt he is playing it up, but he is serious at the same time. I love how someone referred to Eddie as the President of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Collingwood.

Eddie sounding all the more like Ari Gold every minute, the ego is unbelievable. Lets face it, most people from Melbourne don't rate outsider's playing 'their' game, and Collingwood supporters/presidents are the worst that Melbourne can offer within this sporting context....the baddest of a bad lot. God he must have died watching the Lion's flog the pies in all those GF's and maybe he feels that with the AFL's help, GWS might do it again in a couple of years.

The problem is that he goes overboard and he forgets history. He also brought up Melbourne, which annoys me. He should be reminded of all the times Melbourne beat Collingwood in GFs. Still, I was listening to him just now on radio (on a link from the Herald Sun), and Darcy and co were laughing and not treating him all that seriously. I think it's a bit of a beatup. He was just being his usual theatrical self, and ultimately, I wouldn't take him seriously.

In his perfect world, every other club would be eliminated, thus allowing Collingwood to win the flag every year.

So much for trying to support the game ey Eddie? If he had his perfect world, the AFL would still be the VFL. No interstate teams in the competition.

While this is a beat-up for his breakfast show, I sincerely hope Eddie puts all his energy into ruining GWS. The GWS are bankrolled by the AFL's "war-chest" so any drawn out battle would end up harming him and Collingwood as much as the new mob. Even though this is all spin, I'd like to see the AFLPA chime in with a reminder that bullying, intimidation and threats in the workplace will not be tolerated, and this outburst could affect S.Pendlebury's future earnings in the open market. HAHAHAHA
