The Manly Sea Eagles looked to be just about the best performers from round one of the season.
Few mentioned it, but the amount of travel they had done in the previous few weeks and beating their opponent from last years Grand Final in the Warriors, in New Zealand, was an incredible effort.
The Wests Tigers were pushed hard by the Sharks last weekend but you could see they started to click in the second half and managed to pull out a controversial win in golden point extra time.
Many people expect these two teams to be right there when the whips are cracking at seasons end. While we have a long way to go, this will be a good gauge as to where both teams stand early on in the season.
There is also the added bonus of seeing Adam Blair take on the Sea Eagles for the first time since last season all in brawl which ended his career at the Melbourne Storm.
On the injury front, the Sea Eagles will be without Glenn Stewart and Steve Matai while the Wests Tigers will be without Keith Galloway and young fullback James Tedesco.
I tend to think the Sea Eagles will be too strong for the Tigers in this one, but you can never count out any team that has Benji Marshall playing in their side.
This clash is set to take place at Gosfords Bluetongue Stadium and it should be a cracker. Join us as we live blog the match right here for The Roar from 7:30pm.

The Sea Eagles scrambling defense is fantastic. The Tigers going sideline to sideline. Eventually its a turnover on the last tackle.
