Port Adelaide vs Richmond: AFL live scores

By The Roar / Editor

Two clubs that are arguable unlucky to sit on just one win meet as Port Adelaide host Richmond at AAMI Stadium. We’ll have live scores from 3.15pm AEST.

These two sides have both been more competitive than previous seasons in 2012, but it’s yet to really translate over to the win column.

The Tigers, particularly, have had a horror draw to start the season, meeting Carlton, Collingwood, Geelong and West Coast within the first five rounds.

In the past two weeks they have excruciatingly fallen short by 10 points to both the Cats and Eagles.

The Power, too, have met tough opposition, including Essendon, Sydney and Collingwood. Despite this, their biggest losing margin for the year is only 25 points.

No side has blown them away in 2012, a stark contrast to some of their results in 2011.

It sets up what should be a highly entertaining match-up.

Port last week went down to crosstown rivals Adelaide in the Showdown by 19 points. Tall forwards Justin Westhoff and John Butcher both kicked four goals, but it wasn’t enough.

They have lost Jay Schultz and Chad Wingard for this week’s encounter.

Richmond were incredibly impressive against West Coast but couldn’t quite finish them off. Trent Cotchin and Dustin Martin led the way, racking up plenty of disposals.

Daniel Jackson leaves the side due to suspension.

A tipper’s nightmare, this one. Two sides “due for a win” going head to head.

Big response in local media against Primus, scathing, mentioned in AFL360 tonight. It has to be said, Port's effort against the tiges was about as feeble as they come.
